BGPlace is on a beautiful lication - a house with a wonderful view of Ohrid lake. Accommodation was perfect. My room and all facilities were clean and comfortable, especially considering the extremely reasonable pricing. A nearby restaurant provides cheap, good food aplenty. The host, Nikola, was extremely welcoming, discreet and went above and beyond to assist me in any way he could. Definitely recommend - both as a vacation spot and as a very good, affordable alternative for a business trip.
The only consideration has to do with transportation - public transport to and from Ohrid (about 5 km away) is infrequent, timetables are unclear, taxi fares tend to be, let's say... fluid. Would recommend rent-a-car if one does not travel with own transportation.
