Villa Jasmine Blossom

Very nice house with a yard just 15 min.with car from Corfu town. The rooms are spacious and clean, there is plenty of space for parking. The owners are friendly and help with anything you need. We had a wonderful vacation in Corfu.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jasmine Blossom and we really wish we could have stayed longer! We definitely hope we can stay there again next time we're in Corfu! Carlotta and Sotiris are excellent hosts, very welcoming, kind, responsive and attentive. Carlotta was there to welcome us and made sure that we were all settled and explained how everything worked. There is also a welcome manual that explains lots of useful things about the villa, as well as some other useful tips for places to visit, eh etc. The house is beautiful, extremely clean. The Greeks have very high cleaning standards in general and this is by far the cleanest place we've ever stayed in! It has everything you may need for a comfortable stay: A brand new kitchen, cooker/oven, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. There's also plenty of extra towels and bedding in case they are needed. They had kindly left coffee, bread jam, honey and cookies for us which were very much appreciated. There are also two supermarkets really nearby and Gouvia centre is only about 10 min walk away and there are plenty of cafés and good places to eat there too (we loved BBQ-Art!). The garden is spacious and our children could happily and safely run around as the main gate can be closed so they don't go out to the street which is usually busy with traffic. The terrace is beautiful and it was the perfect spot for witnessing an incredible thunderstorm on our first night. We didn't find it as noisy as other reviews mention and we actually had excellent sleep as the beds were super comfortable and there is air-conditioning in every room. There are also mosquito nets fitted on every window and on the front door, which is very necessary in Greece during the summer. Gouvia is only about 30 min by bus or 10 min by car from Corfu Town which makes it really accessible and the perfect place to set base and explore the island.

The house is in fact very close from the Gouvia beach, but it was more than a disappointment of a beach for us (this is of course not the host's fault). Although it is pretty picturesque, it is quite dirty, full of cigarette butts, broken glass and also it is not a sandy beach, full of pebbles and not ideal for children. Having said that, Dassia beach which is much better is only 10 in away on the bus and there are frequent buses that go to other beaches too. So if you stay in this house and love going to the beach, you will definitely need a car (there is private parking in the villa) or move by bus. We will definitely hire a car next time! The street outside is always busy with fast traffic including big lorries and there aren't any sidewalks on a few parts of it, so you do need to be very careful particularly if you have young children with you and at night.
