Villa Frangipani

Frangipani Villa was great. We were met on arrival, and shown around the villa and grounds. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and happy to assist with any requests. Villa was lovely. Three double bedrooms, each with own bathrooms - so great for three couples. Lovely pool area, with loungers and shaded area. Cannot fault this place at all.

Absolutely nothing

The villa is nice, very spacious and well equipped with everything you might need including full kitchen. The rooms are separate, so it's good for groups because you still have private space and bathrooms. The bedrooms have very good AC, thank goodness! The pool is lovely and the garden is lush. The property is a little older than it appears in the photos, but it's well cared for and very clean. The hosts Kadek and Gede are great - very friendly and welcoming. They are in the villa from about 9 to 3 each day, so always on hand to help with anything you might need. They did our washing, which was a lovely touch. They were very accommodating of our toddler, providing lego and toys for the pool and beach. He loved it. They also put a fence around the pool (for a fee). Villa Frangipani is a great location for Sanur. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants, as well as the supermarket across the road. The beach near the villa is not as nice and has less sand area than other stretches in Sanur. This part is more focused on boats and fishing and diving vessels, not so much for swimming or relaxing or playing. We found the water here to be less clean (due to boats) and had more rubbish. Heading further south or north there are nicer stretches with larger sandy areas and better access for swimming and relaxing. These areas are easier to access with a bike - we rented cycles from Bali Baik a couple of doors down, including baby seats. We ate meals every day from Patio cafe next door - excellent food and well priced. The villa is set back from the road down a laneway, so there is not much traffic noise and it feels safe and secure. For the first couple of nights we had very loud dogs next door barking all night and hardly slept. We did not expect the hosts to control the noise, but they were helpful and arranged someone to speak with the neighbour about the dogs, which seemed to help a bit. The dogs did not bark every night which was a relief!

We would have scored the property higher, but given the trouble we had sleeping due to brightness and noise we had to score a little lower. The consistent lack of sleep took away from our holiday enjoyment. Some aspects of the property which might not suit all travellers (but might not be a problem for others!): - The rooms are not dark for sleeping. There are curtains in the bedrooms, but also skylights and curtainless bathrooms which are impossible to cover due to high ceilings and no doors. This meant our toddler was up at 4am every day, and refused to nap during the day (he usually sleeps well and had no issues at the previous resort where the room was dark). The neighbouring property also has bright lights which shine directly in to the bedroom when they are on. If you or kids are sensitive to light this might be an issue for you. - The beds are all quite firm. If you need or prefer a softer bed that's something to keep in mind. We had a guest with a bad back who struggled to sleep. - If you are looking for privacy, you might need to make different arrangements with the hosts. They are typically in and around the villa most of the day, including on the day of checkout when cleaning commences prior to check out time.

Great location, close to the beach & restaurants. The villa itself is exceptionally clean & comfortable, perfect for our group of 6 stay. Big thank you to Kadek & Gede who were amazing hosts and made us feel very welcome, thank you for your help & conversation.

Very kind hosts. Kedak and Gede were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Kept the place clean and tidy. Particularly thankful for Kadek arranging little activities for our children (flowers floating in basin, flower necklaces)

The beautiful villa exceeded our expectations had everything we needed and more. Our hosts Kadek and Gadet were amazing and made us feel so welcome. Kadek is a beautiful host and was very informative. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, restuarants, and the best coffee and almond croissants at the Daily Baguette. Villa Frangipani was so good we have booked our return next year. We can't wait to come home to Sanur 😀

Villa Frangiapani was perfect for our family of six adults and one baby. The Villa itself is wonderful - the rooms spacious, cool and well appointed. The grounds and gardens are immaculate, and the pool an oasis. The location is less than a ten minute walk to the beach and a couple of minutes to a myriad of shops and cafes. It was fantastic value for money. But what sets Villa Frangipani apart are Kadek and Gede - always on hand to help and advise. Prefect hosts.
