LA CHOZA VILLA VACACIONAL

The villa is wonderful, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. There is a garden with some fruits you can eat, so every morning we started with orange juice. There are a couple of roads for walking near the house, I recommend walking along them, they offer incredible views. A great place to relax. Very helpful owner who answered our questions quickly and took care of dinner as we arrived late in the evening, it was very nice. We recommend this place and will go back there again!

Nice and remote location, super quiet. Nice area. Close to Teror, can be reached with a 30 to 40 minute walk. The host is super nice and super helpful. Would come again.

Be aware that the location is actually very remote. It’s on the outskirts of Terror on some very narrow country lanes. You actually have to drive on a very narrow footpath for 15 minutes and you can easily get lost as the GPS will not take you there. I got lost every time. The parking is also very narrow and impossible to get out of. I managed to scratch the rental car in the parking drive way, and there is no alternative parking. The house is in the middle of nowhere, and you’ll have a view of a hill with rundown houses on the outskirts of the village. The furniture is cheap and the bed very hard. I got two old towels, no shower gel, nothing. This is not luxury but the owner demands luxury prices. Avoid!

I have traveled quite a bit over the years, but I dare say Gilberto was the best accommodation host I ever met. He genuinely tried to make our stay as great as possible. He told us that the property had belonged to his ancestors, and that he simply wants people to get to know and enjoy this wonderful area of Gran Canaria, and we could really feel this special touch of history. The Villa is amazing, and there are so many small nice details in the decoration and furnishing that you normally don't encounter. In the garden, the way the wind gently blows through the fruit trees and spreads the smell of orange and the other fruits and plants, has a touch of paradise. We had lots of sunshine, thus we could also sunbath, which was great. Our older daughter loved drinking freshly pressed orange juice all day :) In sum, especially if you feel like resetting and recharging for some days, I think there is no better place - but even if you want to be active and explore, such as the near town of Teror, or do some hiking, it is a great place!
