Beautifully Finished Spacious House!

We arrived into Rugby very confused as we were sent a different address in a private message on Wood Street and the booking.com listing was for Abbey Street. Upon arrival at the house we realised that the house was a 3 bedroom house and not 4 and not the house that we had booked and viewed on booking.com. We called the number provided and were told that we had been moved because of a maintenance issue on the property we had booked but none of this was communicated to us. We needed 4 bedrooms for our stay and this made things difficult all weekend. We were told that the 4th bedroom was the pull out sofa bed in the living room, which was a large single bed not a double that we had paid for. We had to call to find out where the bedding was for it. The property was liveable for the weekend but had an awful smell in the living room of stale smoke, the upstairs bathroom also smelt like sewage after using the shower. We found cigarette butts in the window openings of the front upstairs bedroom and there was no lighting in the hallway. In addition to this, the heating was on really high so we tried to turn down in the bedrooms. My brother went to turn down in the room with two single beds to have the radiator fall on top of him and his nose! Causing cuts to his nose that were bleeding and bruising. The radiator was completely hanging off the wall and propped up by one of the beds. This was completely unacceptable and a significant hazard. We had children staying and if they had accidentally knocked into this God knows what would have happened!

Location is good, near Rugby station.

The house is very old and not clean enough. Water leaking happened with the boiler and washing machine at cloak room. Parking permit was disappeared. Property management was unreachable before escalating the complaints directly to Booking.com Facility's description is somewhat misleading. It was saying car park is available yet it is not completely true unless you have a parking permit however this was not found anywhere in the house and the property management staff didn't tell where is it.

Very clean. kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms had good showers. have good showers.

lack of information regarding the boiler. no parking permit available which caused worry to car owner. property suffers from smell of damp. settees both damaged, one with broken leg and other on floor wit the other other on the floor with no legs (they were in a drawer).

Nicely done on the inside, comfy beds, responsive property manager. Nice touches such a toiletries, very clean. Lovely master bedroom

Parking outside was a problem. The required residents’ parking permit was missing, meaning I spent the entire stay worrying about getting a parking ticket. I was advised instead to park a good 12-minute walk away on a main road - one, I had two heavy suitcases, two, there weren’t even spaces available there - if I’d known about this at the time of booking, I’d never have booked. It would have been a deal-breaker for me. Also - quite a few broken windows boarded up - what happened?!
