Peaceful Modern Home with Private Garden in Durban North

Everything was amazing. Property looks better than the pictures 🩷 the hosts were amazing. Mikayla is as very respectful with telling us to decrease the music since we were having so much fun. The place is peaceful and it was worth every penny. The staff were also welcoming and very friendly

Stairs to upper bedroom good for children but not adults

The property lived up to the reviews that we read before booking it, and we were not disappointed. The place felt like home with its spaciousness, from the bedroom with plenty of wardrobes and comfortable beds and pillows, to the kitchen with the utensils we needed to prepare our meals, bathroom, lounge and dining, plus the patio with the modern chairs and table and the private space/garden, even though there were no plants or grass, but that space - all wonderful, giving a sense of being at home. The location of the property, just off the M4 and a shopping centre, was a real bonus. An overall lovely place indeed.

There was not much that we didn't like. The exception is the narrow stairs to the upstairs sleeping area and the bed linen, with the ones in the downstairs room having a spot that is perhaps proving to be stubborn to be removed. And generally, the property needs close monitoring and upkeep/maintenance to keep its good looks - from the lighting that didn't seem to work in the dining area (maybe we didn't know where to switch them on) to the hanging cables on the patio and broken lighting cables in the bedroom side lights. The property is lovely, but it needs close attention as there are signs of ageing with dust, for instance, on the lights hanging over the dining table and cobwebs in various spaces, like the upstairs bedroom and patio. The owners also need to consider expanding their INSTRUCTIONS BOOK for guests to know where to switch some of the lights and about servicing the property while staying there, if there are any servicing intervals in place.
