Platanus House

Our second time at this property. Arrangements made in advance for collection of keys (host was waiting for us at the property). Please note Meskla, where the house is located, is a small, peaceful village in the foothills of the White Mountains, but only 20- 25 minutes from the beaches of the north coast.

Location, views, fresh water spring, verdant countryside, wildlife, large balcony, well-provisioned, nearby ancient frescos, climate (not sultry, as in Chania), privacy, the magnificent platanus trees.

No faults

The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and had all one needs. The house is modern and vathrooms and beds very comfortable.The location is very good, set in the mountains but not difficult to reach by car. Also, one can reach chania within 30 minutes and nearby mountain villages within less time. Only 15 minutes away from limnoupolis water park and go karting. The host was very generous and helpful, the fridge was full with food and drinks. Parking available.

I cannot stress how amazing this place is. this was by far the best hotel we stayed in for our entire holiday! it has been renovated beautifully. everything was modern and delightful. The house was big and so were the balconies. there was a gorgeous set of outdoor seats under the trees and beside the natural spring on the ground floor but there was also an absolutely huge terrace on the first floor. And the view was amazing! We loved being here soo much. the host was spectacular. We had some issues on booking.com but she was so accommodating and helpful. really above and beyond. I can’t stress how appreciative we were. she left the house packed to the brim of goodies like wine and oranges (literally the best ones I’ve ever had!). that things were so stocked was very kind and helpful. this was the best place ever.

it is beautiful! the view from the large balcony was wonderful. we loved the sound of the spring. the beds were very comfortable. the host left food and drinks for us (including oranges!) which was absolutely lovely. it was a wonderful stay- the sort of place where you would want to stay for a month and write a novel.
