Akizuki Niwa (Garden) House

The space was spacious, making it a great place to stay with a child.

Quaint property, refurbished Japanese house but with modern amenities. The quiet village it is situated in sells a unique mix of local food and handicrafts. Must try the river mushroom warabi mochi with vinegar just round the bend.

Starting to feel a bit dated and to tour the Akizuki village you need to be available from 9/10am to maybe 4pm. Some shops close as early as 2pm

This property is a gem in a village gem. It makes you feel you’re at home. The design, the beautiful antique Japanese ceramics, the excellent selection of books and all the comfort of the kitchen made me, an Italian chef and Interior Designer, feeling in her own element. Don’t miss it!

Lovely vacation house where we got everything we need: private car parking, eggs and milk in the refrigerator, a fully equipped kitchen, and a Japanese garden.

The property might be a little obscure for first time travelers, especially after dark - would be nice if the owner could put up a distinguished sign for guidance.

Perfect and pleasant house for two to four persons. We enjoyed our stay. Relaxed. Breakfast basket is nice. All facilities available. Nice cultural city and beautiful surroundings for a hike.

Some head injuries, since the doors are low (+/- 180 cm).

Beautiful, cozy house with all the facilities you need. Good location in Azizuki village.

Location not easy to find if driving on my own. Operator is very helpful telling me how to get there.

The problem is the car GPS system which cannot locate the House.
