"Wonderful location for Dubrovnik and wider…"

9.0

The villa offers the benefits of being in Bosnia (money with twice as much) but with easy access to the beautiful coastline. Its easy to cross the border (time varies from 5 mins to 50, but usually quick) but make sure you’ve blank pages in your passport. There isn’t much in the village but it’s not far to shops and a great restaurant (drejin - order the lamb/veal under the bell). The also means it’s a wonderfully quiet. The villa is great. We loved swimming in the pool and sitting outside watching the sunset over the bay. Heavenly.

"Perfect week with friends in a stunning villa and location with lots to do!"

10.0

The facilities, lovely little touches such as wine cooler, ice machine. The infinity pool and vista were also stunning. Each room also had its own bathroom which was ideal.

Nothing.

"Great staff and lovely villa with amazing views made up for some issues and we very much enjoyed our stay as a whole"

8.0

Amazing views - superb outdoors facilities ( great pool and hot tub - shower and separate toilet - small gym room - nice barbecue and plenty of seats and loungers to relax) - spacious bedrooms having each a bathroom- nice open plan layout of the living space and well equipped kitchen - brilliant air conditioning system throughout the property - loads of very useful information gathered by the owners about the area, both in Croatia and in Bosnia Herzégovine- very friendly and responsive staff with a special mention for the lovely property manager Sladjana who did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable, she is great!

1/ Its location on top of the mountain allows for great views but also exposes it to the WIND! - we might have been unlucky this early September but it has been howling every single night! Causing sleep disruption for the lighter sleepers but also making barbecuing and eating/ relaxing in the evenings very difficult, having to dry washed linen inside and the hot tub cover has been flown away down the mountain despite being all strapped in ( this cover is all important to keep the water heat and therefore without it the pleasure of a hot tub is inexistant). Please also note that there is no more sunshine on the patio after 3pm and the location means having a car compulsory as there is absolutely nothing around on walking distance 2/ the property is on 3 levels making it unsuitable for people with reduced mobility 3/ the villa Rock is aging, and so are some of its appliances and furniture. We had a very temperamental dishwasher, and being a family of 7 needed to regularly do some washing up, one of the double bed’s slates were missing and/or broken making sleep uncomfortable ( staff have done their best to fix it but it clearly needs replacing). The lack of extractors in the bathrooms allows for the development of dampness with some dark mouldy stains on the ceiling of some of them. We also regretted not having a washing machine on site despite being listed on the website, there is a washing machine available in the basement of the villa next door but we found this not very practical, especially when the neighbours want to use it at the same time. Of course all those latter issues can easily be fixed with some maintenance and should not be taken into account when rating the villa, only our own experience at this specific moment in time. 4/ the internet on the other hand is very temperamental!

"Breathtakingly beautiful views in pure luxury with super service and wonderful hosts"

10.0

We are a large family and spent 11 nights at Villa Oliva. The Villa has 5 star facilities & hotel level cleanliness. From the moment we arrived we got a warm welcome - with gorgeous local cheese, meats & wine and the team at Bozholidays were on hand throughout, helping with taxis, booking restaurants and making recommendations. The Bozholidays guide book in the villa was excellent and gave us everything we needed to explore Bosnia and Croatia from Ivanica. The views from the villa are breathtaking. This villa is pure luxury and has everything we needed including things you don't expect. Highlights for us were; The pool, hot tub, wine fridge, coffee machine, ice machine, cooking utensils, plenty of towels (indoor & outdoor) sun loungers, table tennis and even inflatables. There is plenty of space and furniture so people can hang out together or do their own thing. The villa and pool were cleaned during our stay and everything was done to a very high standard. We crossed the border into Dubrovnik regularly and with one exception it was quick and easy. We also enjoyed going to Trebijne - and the local Bosnian restaurants where the food was amazing and much less expensive than Dubrovnik. We highly recommend this wonderful Villa and our excellent hosts; Sara, Jovic and all the team at Bozholidays. Hvala
