Villa del Gelso - Chalet nel Parco dell'Etna

Uno chalet immerso nella natura Ottima posizione per poter raggiungere in auto il monte Etna La parte più bella della struttura a mio parere la cucina con un immenso tavolo e il camino,la zona soggiorno con un altro camino Il barbecue con vista su una terrazza bellissima e la zona forno a legna per poter fare anche le pizze Il proprietario si è reso disponibile fin da subito,fornendoci la legna per usufruire del camino ancor prima del nostro arrivo in struttura Chalet super consigliato

Unica pecca il Wi-Fi

La struttura era moltosemplice da raggiungere ed in una zona molto tranquilla, con il classico self check-in (a mio avviso comodissimo) ed self check-out. La struttura è fornita di tutto quello che potrebbe servire, non manca davvero nulla , anche le semplici spezie, sale ecc…

L’unica pecca è che eravamo in molti ed accendendo tutti i condizionatori saltava il magnetotermico ed in una stanza il condizionatore non funzionava molto bene

The garden, the pool And the oitside area

Our stay at this property was unfortunately far from what we expected based on the listing on Booking.com. Upon arrival, we found mold in the shower and broken garden furniture. While the furniture was eventually replaced, the old items and trash were simply left behind. The swimming pool was still closed, which was not mentioned anywhere on the listing. There was supposed to be a jacuzzi/hot tub, but this was completely missing. The playground equipment was broken and unusable, and there were construction materials scattered around the villa, which really took away from the holiday atmosphere. Inside, the kitchen utensils were outdated and the crockery very limited. There were two fridges in the living room, but only one could be used – otherwise, the power would trip. Bed linen was not changed after 7 days, even though this was promised. We contacted the host several times regarding these issues, but received either no response or one that came far too late. Overall, a very disappointing experience and not at all what we expected from a Booking.com property. Our response to the reply on our review We find it absolutely unbelievable—and frankly quite baffling—that the validity of our complaints is being denied. From the beginning, it was you who proposed a €500 voucher, which in itself was a clear acknowledgment that our concerns were justified. Given our family situation, we explained that it’s unlikely we’ll be returning in the near future. That’s why we kindly asked if the compensation could be provided as a cashback instead of a voucher. This seemed like a reasonable and fair request, considering the circumstances. What’s even more disappointing is that we were told multiple times that there would be internal discussions regarding the form of compensation. We never received any follow-up or response. The lack of communication is frustrating, especially in light of the initial offer and the seriousness of our concerns.
