Villa Tulia

De villa was nog mooier dan op de foto’s, en ook de tuin en het uitzicht op het prachtige witte strand met azuurblauwe oceaan maakte het tot een paradijs. Met zo’n uitzicht wakker worden is meer dan geweldig! Het strand van Matemwe is mooi en rustig, niet vol met toeristen en strandverkopers. Ook de medewerkers bij villa Tulia waren ontzettend vriendelijk en deden zo hun best het de gasten zoveel mogelijk naar de zin te maken. Iedere ochtend een heerlijk vers ontbijt met veel variatie werd opgediend bij de villa, en we konden per dag kiezen of we ook lunch en/of diner wilden. Dit hebben we meerdere keren gedaan en het eten was zo goed!! In de omgeving zijn ook meerdere restaurantjes te vinden, maar het eten bij villa Tulia was overduidelijk het lekkerst. Hawa heeft voor ons luchthaven transfers, een excursie naar Stonetown, en een snorkel Safari geregeld. Dat was heel fijn en goed. Ook heeft ze voor ons bemiddeld toen bleek dat onze tussenvlucht terug was geannuleerd op de dag van vertrek, en het lastig was om met de vliegmaatschappij contact te krijgen. Het lukte haar ons op een andere vlucht te boeken, heel veel dank!

The villa has an incredibly relaxing vibe — beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and offering breathtaking beach views that instantly put you at ease. The food was a true highlight of our stay — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a special experience, with a well-thought-out set menu offering a wonderful variety: from fresh seafood, tender grilled meats, and vibrant salads, to rich local specialties and indulgent desserts. The chef’s attention to detail and use of quality ingredients made every bite a pleasure. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile, ensuring every moment of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. This was a truly unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking relaxation, great food, and exceptional hospitality

La villa est magnifique, très propre et idéalement située. Les repas des cuisiniers sont fabuleux et ils sont d’une gentillesse incroyable ! Nous avons une personne intolérante au lactose, tous les repas lui ont été adaptés !

Lors de notre arrivée il nous a été précisé que le nettoyage du linge était inclus mais finalement nous avons dû payer 24$. Pendant 2 jours nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude car il ne nous a pas été expliqué que c’est un interrupteur qui gérait les ballons d’eau chaude. Nous avons voulu utiliser les vélos à disposition pour se balader mais aucun n’était fonctionnel.

Amazing food by chef Khatib , Jeremiah and Hussain. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended and will definitely return to book the same property.

Chef Khatib was amazing and very nice staff and security. The decor, furniture and equipment were good.

Swimming pool was very cold, I recommend have a heater. Adding Jacuzzi will be good in the villa. I suggest adding microwave in the room. Transportation to the activities expensive

We stayed at Villa Tulia as a group of 6 and had an absolutely amazing experience. The villa is stunning, very clean, and comes with great amenities. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff – Paul, the always-helpful property manager, the resident chef who prepared delicious meals, the housekeepers, security team, and gardeners – everyone was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Every morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of fresh options, which we looked forward to daily. The villa is perfect if you're looking for privacy and peace – it has direct access to the beach, and most days it felt like we had the entire shore to ourselves, free from vendors or crowds. We also felt very safe, with round-the-clock security. The beach is ideal for long walks, morning swims, or stargazing at night – truly magical. There's also a small kitchen available if you ever feel like cooking. Also worth mentioning is Sam, the villa’s recommended driver, who was amazing and stayed with us throughout our entire trip. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and enriched our rides with fascinating insights about Zanzibar. He also helped us organize excursions and day trips, making everything smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a quiet, luxurious, and private stay in Zanzibar with top-notch service, Villa Tulia is the place to go. We can’t thank the whole team enough – we had an unforgettable stay and would return in a heartbeat!
