Divinity Villas - Uluwatu, Bali

Good location, on a hill away from busy streets but within short driving distance or walking distance of shops/restaurants/bars. Good ocean views, nice outdoor seating, nice plunge pool. Basic cooking provisions for a longer stay were useful and we were able to easily rent a bike from reception which was really useful for the area.

Construction work right outside the property took away from the peacefulness of the location. The downstairs doors didn’t align properly so it wasn’t possible to lock the villa, only the outside gate. It also meant there were fairly large gaps under the doors, so when we had two days of heavy rain, water was leaking into both the living area and bedroom (Reception provided extra towels to mop up the water and to prevent anymore coming in but the problem does need addressing otherwise the downstairs would have been mostly wet). There was a power cut on our final night, reception wasn’t available 24/7 so we had to wait until the next morning to have this fixed, which meant no aircon/light/charging/TV. There was also a hole in the mosquito net around the bed, and despite keeping it closed at all times this meant we found a cockroach inside the net. The sun lounger in the outside area was nice and comfortable, but there was only one, so it would have been nice for two people to be able to relax.

What stood out most was its perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets—it felt like a peaceful sanctuary tucked away from the city’s chaos. The panoramic ocean views were simply breathtaking
