Uma Kakul Villas

Great stay. Beautiful, newly furnished villas. Perfect pool with a beautiful view of the jungle. Very nice staff, always at guests' disposal, also making good breakfasts. Very nice owner, willing to help in any matter. We received help early in the morning to arrange transport literally right when our Grab didn't arrive and we needed to get to the boat urgently. I have no words to express my gratitude. A huge THANK YOU and I sincerely recommend it with all my heart.

The property itself is gorgeous. The room and bathroom are lovely and the pool is so private and refreshing. It has air con too and good amenities in the room. It’s really serene and you can hear the sounds of nature and no city sounds. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with loads of trees and butterflies and the sounds of crickets. It is remote (a couple minutes from the road) but we arranged a taxi to come and collect us so we didn’t have any problems with the location. The villa reception and cleaning team are exceptionally lovely and kind. Breakfast was lovely, they provided fresh juice.

The room we stayed in had coconut trees above the roof which meant hundreds of massive ants were falling all over the floor and on our bed. We had to spray bug spray to kill them (both being asthma sufferers this made me quite ill) and couldn’t sleep with ants crawling on our pillows and dead/dying ants all over the floor which remained until the room was cleaned the next day. The manager told us it was the jungle and we should expect bugs. However the sheer amount of bugs and the fact they were on our pillows was completely unreasonable. They should have offered to move us, and after 2 nights we asked directly and were moved the next day. The room we moved to was exactly the same in layout and perfect and had we been there from day 1 it would have been a 10/10! Just to add, while we didn’t mind the remote location, it may be hard for a wheelchair user or someone with mobility issues to access.

Nothing only the stuff

For me is not clean and so many insects and a lot of gecko which is terrible . No restaurants around the road is very difficult to reach and away from the city

Everything was on a very high standard The place The design The staff where perfect The facilities This plays was advertised as 3 star hotel when I booked it but it definitely deserves at least 4 stars

The AC is placed right on top of the bed, it's week and not sufficient for the whole room but it made us catch a cold at night

Environment is good, surrounded by paddy field, may view sunrise just behind the villa, private pool is clean, friendly staff

Location a bit far from major attrations, so is good to stay for 2-3 days to relax and visit nearby attractions, night time can hear on and off of the small animal sounds, can be an issue for light sleeper
