Villa Abu Sulthan - Garden Farm House

This lovely house is tucked away on a five acre property surrounded by rubber trees and a large variety of flowering plants, cardomum, pepper,cacao and fruit trees. Mr. Abdul and his family have lovingly developed this space for 25 years. Mr. Abdul was super keen to show my family all of the delights that he grows. I had tea with his family several times and their hospitality was wonderful. The house is quite large and super clean with plenty of comfortable furniture to relax on. The top floor has a balcony where I enjoyed having my morning tea and listened to the birds. It stays cool here in the afternoon heat with the canopy sheltering from the Kerala sun. It is a short ten minute walk to a small shop that has fresh fruit, home bakes, and everything you may need and shop family is also so very kind. I was originally searching for accommodations in Munnar town but kept looking at Villa Sulthan as the value can't be beat. The family arranged for a taxi driver who is their neighbour and Noushad proved to be an excellent driver. He had an Innova which is usually the more expensive car but his prices were very reasonable. We also met his lovely family while walking in the nearby town which has some good restaurants. Even though Munnar is 25km away we were so glad to have not stayed there as it was very crowded and congested with holiday traffic. We stayed for longer than we had planned and enjoyed it very much. This kind of home stay is what I seek when we are travelling as a family, we get closer to the connections with our hosts than one would at a hotel. To really get to experience any locale you have to step inside the lives of your hosts. We have travelled quite extensively. Mr. Abdul and his son Sawan will be etched in my memories along with all of the wonderful people we have met. I highly recommend you stay in this amazing, private, and wonderful villa and get to know this lovely family and enjoy their hospitality you will be happy that you did.

That we didn't stay longer

Good location with garden around, not too far from main road and bus. We were impressed by villa size - it has many rooms, few washrooms, separate bedrooms with A/C, balcony, kitchen, freezer and many other internal things which we did not even use :) Owner was very helpful and meet us on the road :) We are very satisfied with our staying and reccomend this villa.

This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Abdul uncle (owner of the property). Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Best place for family
