Calma Verde Retreat - Private Villa

We stayed for 10 days at Calma Verde Retreat in Katsikas, Ioannina, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Everything was spotless, and the level of cleanliness was exceptional. The surroundings of the villa are absolutely stunning — peaceful, green, and full of natural beauty. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the tranquility of the area. Above all, what made our stay unforgettable was the warm hospitality of the hostess, Sevi. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her generosity and care made us feel like honored guests. Additionally, the tavern right next to the villa is an excellent choice for enjoying the local cuisine, offering delicious dishes and an authentic taste of the region. We highly recommend Calma Verde Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful, elegant, and memorable stay in Ioannina. We would love to return again!

the whole experience was fantastic. the host was great the house exceptional. even the decoration was great. I felt like a friend of mine handed me the keys to spend a weekend at their home in Ioannina. The property has an amazing surrounding area with two garden tables where you can chill and relax after the sun sets. Literally next to the property there is a restaurant on which you can taste typical and good value for money meals.

If I had to say something that the property lacks, that would have been the lack of a small WC, this however does not reduce at all the quality of the property.

WoW!! Amazing villa that have everything you might need. It is very big and so beautiful inside and outside. Have balcony around entire villa that you can enter from each room. It have large garden around the villa. We liked so much to play there with our kids and dog. The was also a ball to play with :) This is the place that when you are not left yet - you are already miss it.. and we defiantly will come back!!! Parking is in front of the house. The neighborhood is very quit and safe Lampros is a great host!! Thank you so much for your help and hospitality!!! The location is great to do daily trips to Zagory and Tzoumerka and also Metsovo and Meteora. There is a very good restaurant near the villa with great food and low prices If you are lucky and the place is available on your dates - take it, and you will fall in love with it for sure!!! Thank you again Lampros!! We'll be happy to meet you again next time we will visit Greece

The house is lovely with beautiful private garden to sit and balconies to relax in. We enjoyed the quiet area. Thr location is great for traveling to Tsoumerka and Vikos areas. A 10 min. drive from the center of Ioannina. The interior of the house is very welcoming and spacious with a big well equipped kitchen, large bathroom with tub and washing machine and 3 large bedrooms. Our host Lampros was very helpful and accessible. He met us at the house upon arrival and explained all the important information. Also sent helpful tips as to exploring the area (touring, markets, parking etc). (There's also a neighboring restaurant that looks very nice but we didn't actually eat there)

There's no microwave oven

It is like staying at your grandmothers house. The house has everything you need and is located 5 to 10 minutes drive from the city centre (you need a car or bike). Bakery en other shops are within walking distance. The host, Lampros, was extremely helpfull and friendly. He helped us with everything we asked. We would definately recommend to stay here. The house is located on a medium busy road, but at night it is quiet. The windows are modern and well insulated. The area and house are safe. The restaurant next door was not a problem during our stay (may 2023). The house, bathroom, beds, ... were very clean.

Personally we found the shower not very practical, as it was in the bath tub, with a shower curtain. And the shower head (sprinkler) is positioned too low. We recommend to adapt this. Also the mattress we found quite hard, but this is the case almost everywhere in Greece. Thank you for a lovely stay!
