EKOSTAY - Woodpecker Villa

Absolutely nothing. This was a complete disaster from start to finish.

Everything. This villa is nothing like what’s shown in the pictures. We had family visiting from the UAE and US, and we booked a 5-day stay through Booking.com expecting a peaceful holiday instead, it turned into a nightmare. There were constant power outages, which damaged our Apple chargers an expensive and frustrating issue.The WiFi kept disconnecting and was barely usable the entire time. The place was infested with mosquitoes, and even worse, there was a rat running around inside the villa! Sofas were in awful condition – stained, worn out, torn, and very unhygienic. The ceilings were leaking with water pooling inside. The roof was covered with a tarpaulin sheet, making it look like a broken-down shed — not a proper holiday home. The photos online are completely misleading – it’s a SCAM to lure people into booking. When we raised these issues with the manager Saad Sheikh, he was extremely rude, unhelpful, and completely dismissed our concerns. Despite all these problems, he only refunded ₹33,000 of the ₹55,000 we paid. We were left feeling cheated and humiliated. This was a shocking experience, especially with guests who had traveled internationally to stay here. I urge Booking.com to reconsider listing this property. It is unsafe, unhygienic, and a total SCAM. Do not book Ekostay Woodpecker Villa - it will ruin your vacation and your peace of mind.

Nice property Ekostay has, The climate made it more beautiful. The caretakes was helpful. He maintain the villa nicely. Bedroom and bathroom was clean. We had taken food package from Ekostay food team, it was mouth watering taste. We had great time with our family.

Awesome Experience!! The clean rooms are well maintained by house help Ms. Mallika. Very simple, loves talking and does her work sincerely. Appreciate her efforts to keep the Villa up to the mark. Recommend not to travel at late night to the location. It is 10kms away from Ooty city and 4 kms from Lovedale Railway station. Mr. Mohan was helpful.

Rooms are dirty and leakage in every room no water supply in the room.everything is disgusting

We just wanted a villa where all of us can sit down and work in peace but this villa offered more than that. The villa was very peaceful with all the needed amenities present at your disposal. The caretaker is also very humble and is always there to help you out with things you require. A must visit place.

good villa with a decent size pool, it was a relaxing stay for all of us and we had 0 issues with our stay. the villa was well maintained as mentioned by our host and the caretaker was humble enough to maintain the privacy at the villa. would recommend it for family and friends to stay at this property

The villa has a beautiful pool area and has an amazing layout. The outdoor area as well as indoor area is maintained very well. We had a great time here and we will return again for the awesome service and a very attentive property host who made sure that we had a great time here at the property.
