Villa Joyosa

Excellent communication with hosts of the property. They were at the Villa to welcome us on arrival and on hand to answer any questions through WhatsApp. They also provided us with a phone so we could book drivers for set prices.

We loved everything, but emptying the bath tubs in both bathrooms was challenging.

Facilities and staff, especially Ani!

We were greeted so warmly by the staff members upon arrival and the welcome tea made by Anie was so delicious. The villa was so clean and spacious and just the right size for our family of 4. The pool was comfy and well-sheltered from the sun, so the water stayed a little chilly even in the middle of the day, but this meant lower UV exposure so it was lovely! The beds were so big and comfy, air conditioning were all working perfectly. Anie was so sweet and she made sure to check up on us. Amenities were also sufficient, with mosquito coils and repellant, and clean water for tooth-brushing. Location wise, the villa is a bit hidden in the center of a couple of estates so it can take a while to walk out onto the main road, and could be a little far if you want to walk to the beach, but it's so comfy and the pool is so nice so... you don't need to go to the beach ˶'ᵕ'˶ Or you could just grab. Just a tip, it doesn't show up on Grab as a pick-up/ drop-off point yet so you'd have to set the location to Chandra Villas next door. If you ordered grab food like us, make sure to check next door for your unknowing lost driver :') The property looks exactly like in the photos as promoted, or even better :)

We booked our stay here too short! ॱᯅॱ Also the hot water in the bathroom can run out a little (it got cooler as I was the last one to shower) so you might just want to space apart your hot showers to wait for the water supply to heat up again. And there are mosquitoes because the bathrooms are open-air so do use mosquito repellant :>

Walking distance to restaurants etc

The property manager met me at the place and patiently even we were late for an hour. The traffic during peak hour was terrible. Walkable to the main road within 10 - 15 mins. Local coffee shops and convenience stores like across the road. The pool between 2 rooms.

Mosquitos were a big problem in Bali not just the property. They gave us a spray in the bathroom though.

Great location and great staff. Really close to Kayu Ayu and some amazing cafes.

Nothing

The location is good and not a far walk to KuDeTa or even to a local flea market. Convenient store is just round the corner. There is a few massage spa around but the best part you don't have to leave the villa for a massage.. you can arrange for one to come to the villa. The host (Putu) was extremely friendly. He kept in touch with me until my check-in to the villa. If any question or doubts, he will answer and assist within his capacity. The housekeeping staff (Ani) is superb too. She will ensure that you are comfortable for her to do her housekeeping task without interrupting your rest. You can inform her when you need your housekeeping done. She does a good job in cleaning. Really quiet place and we really enjoyed and have a relaxing time.

some of the amenities needs to be updated like the kitchen area. the shower head water pressure can be improved. the bedroom lighting could be improved cos we ladies need the lighting to do makeup.. :)
