Mountain house Varda

Staying at Mountain House Varda is an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience. Zejna is a caring and attentive host whose passion is to share this experience with guests. The house is charming and comfortable, located in a gorgeous valley that looks much more stunning in person than in photos. We stayed in late October and enjoyed beautiful autumn colors. We cooked meals using delicious produce Zejna provided us, including items from her own garden, and other things from the well-stocked kitchen. We kept warm with the fireplace, for which Zejna gave us plenty of firewood. We enjoyed hiking the trails around the house, seeing beautiful views of the valley, and climbing up some of the surrounding hills. The valley provides wonderful solitude in which you hear only birdsongs. At our request, Zejna also connected us with a driver who took us for daytime excursions to Mostar and Kravica waterfalls. Her mother even gifted a pair of handmade socks to our eight year old boy. Zejna is a generous and thoughtful person and it really shows in everything. You feel completely at home in her house. If you are interested in a mountain getaway then I can't imagine a better experience. Highly recommended!

Zejna is really an amazing and strong woman. Picking me up in her cute Lada Niva, she was super friendly. I forgot something at a previous place and she even arranged for me to send it over to her place. So nice! Nothing was too much. The house is beautiful and very cosy. (great matrasses and lots of food!) It’s nice to be disconnected from the world for a few days without wifi nor phone. I would defenitely recommend and come back. Wish you all the luck, Zejna. You deserve it!
