"Exceptional"

Villa Merbau was amazing - one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Max and his wife were so accommodating and were able to help us around the island and any other questions we had. Gili Air is such a beautiful island and I can't recommend it more :) Would love to come back and visit again.

That pool is magic. This villa is beautifully decorated and was a perfect fit for my family of five. It felt like a piece of luxury from the contrast of the other places on Gili Air. We appreciated the quality of design and attention to lifestyle that this property offers.

It's set back into the forrest which makes for riding your bike home in the dark really tricky. We did get lost a few times and at times it was annoying to not have a cafe in closer proximity. The forrest itself was stunning so it's not really a complaint.

We just loved this contemporary unique villa. It is beautifully designed with everything you need for your stay. It was great to open all the large sliding doors to the outside and enjoy the gorgeous pool. The staff are super friendly and attentive. There are 5 bicycles at hand to easily explore the island. Truly special.
