Villa Tropica, total privacy, tropical garden and private pool

A tropical paradise! Everything was perfect. The gardens were exquisite. Ante & Kate were wonderful explaining information regarding the plants & where they came from. The villa was beautifully laid out. Parrots, frogs, a legless lizard & best of all a mama cat & her two kittens. The quiet was heavenly. A perfect week! Thank you Kate & Ante.

My stay was perfect.

The garden was absolutely amazing like a tropical forest, a cool oasis when the weather is hot. The villa was extremely well equipped and had everything you could possibly need or want, including books, playing cards, mosquito repellent, suntan lotion, body lotion to name a few of the items. The hosts were very attentive but at the same time respected our privacy. On a couple of occasions they left us treats like homemade crepes and on arrival there was a lovely cold meat and cheese selection along with fresh crusty bread not to mention a nice bottle of wine and fruit. Our hosts Ante and Kate supplied us with lots of information on activities and restaurant recommendations which were very useful. On in all a fabulous villa and great hosts.

There was nothing to dislike. Would strongly recommend that you hire a car if staying at this villa.

We LOVED everything, most beautiful, colourful house in a great location. So unique, special and full of character. We loved spending time by the pool and eating dinner in the outside eating area. The garden was magical and you can see a lot of love and creativity has gone in to the home to make it feel so cosy. Kate and Ante were the best hosts, so friendly and we especially enjoyed trying their home made rakija. Thank you for having us and we can’t wait to come back again. Big hugs The Emma’s and Jay 😊

Not being able to stay for longer!!

Absolutely gorgeous, a wonderful tropical paradise. The gardens are fantastic, filled with beautiful plants, frogs, birds, insects and terrapins. Great view of the night sky too. The house is beautifully furnished, the beds very comfortable, the aircon keeps the whole villa cool and the pool is just the right size for cooling down after a long, hot, day. It's the extra things that make a real difference - really made to feel welcome when we arrived, with the meat and cheese platter, the wine, all the little extras in the fridge, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and even insect repellent (which you need for Croatia!). We were even given a huge supply of delicious pancakes part way through the week. The villa is a great base for exploring the surrounding area by car, with excellent public transport to Trogir and Split just a 15 minute walk away. Really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous gardens, great facilities and Ante and Katerina had provided most essential supplies like milk, bread , a bottle of wine etc. and they were very helpful when our son got stung by a jelly fish. Excellent hosts.

Bring bug spray.. as it’s a tropical paradise the mosquitoes love it .. they are quite small ones though.

Absolutely stunning estate with an impressive garden full of tropical plants, and even living creatures such as parrots, tortoises, frogs, and a cat;) (our kids were delighted, as well as us). And a swimming pool surrounded by palms and cactuses. Very well-kept property with attention to detail. Private but close to the beaches and interesting points to visit. For those who worry about presence of insects - the windows have nets, so you can let the air in:). The house has even more than we needed, fully equipped:). The living room has AC unit, while (beautiful) bedrooms have fans. When we finally got to the house after a long trip to Croatia, we were greeted by the wonderful owners with fresh bread, ham and cheese - we are very grateful for that:). They also prepared a self-made guide where to go, what to see, etc., which was fantastic during our stay! If we could put 100 points for the stay, we would definitely do it, but unfortunately we can only give 10:). Thank you Kate and Ante for your hospitality!:)

absolutely wonderful place, like a tropical jungle, complete peace, only birdsong and frog croaking. The host couple are friendly and helpful. A 5-year-old child found endless things to explore in the garden. I strongly recommend ❤️

the mosquito bites bothered me a bit, but that's a small thing on top of all the good things.

A really lovely secluded villa - well appointed, beautifully and artistically decorated, clean and comfortable. Beautiful tropical gardens with several seating areas, and a small swimming pool. Hosts Ante and Katarina are really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Easy to reach from Split airport - 20 minute drive. Well placed for visiting Split, the Kastela towns, Trogir and lots of other locations along the coast and inland. Many restaurants within easy driving distance - we recommend the Baleta Skola in Kastel Kambelovac, and the Restaurant Kadinela in the hills above Kastel Luksic.

Some visitors may wish to note that there are no walkable eating places or shops nearby which means a car is needed. We did realise this from our research before going so it wasn't a real problem for us.
