Menzel Villas Nusa Dua

It was very private, room and facilities were a great size, it was clean and in a great position.

Old villa but quiet and comfortable. Nice staff but they didnt understand English very well so communication was hard.

We were there for 5 days and not once did they come and clean the Villa or change bedding and towels. Had to go ask for a rubbish bag to empty the bins myself. Power went off for hrs because they had to put more money into it.

If you are a light sleeper there are some local roosters that like to wake you up around 5.30am till about 7.30am. The water fountain on the pool starts about 7. Would be great if it turned on later.

There was absolutely nothing to like about the substandard villa we were duped into hiring through booking.com. We foolishly believed that it was a "genuine deal" as advertised, only to find out we'd been robbed. The photos on booking.com only show the pool at our villa and the staircase, which has a grey couch, which in real life is blue and very grubby. The little dealing we had with the staff at the villa, they were welcoming. The only thing the villa has going for itself is its OK location.

The villa was filthy, smelled of damp and mildew, and there was black mould in both bathrooms. The villa hasn't been renovated or properly cleaned for many years. The kitchen counter has bug nests in plain sight. The price does not reflect what we got and had to go look for other accommodation, which we found around the corner for a similar price. There was no comparison between the two properties. We've stayed many times in Bali and do know what to expect with accommodation there and know this is day light robbery. We brought up this issue with booking.com, who in turn contacted the owner, neither parties have resolved any issues or accepted any responsibility. We are now left very disappointed and disillusioned by both parties. BE WARNED, DONT BE FOOLED

What a hidden gem; from the outside you wouldn’t even know it was there. Great value for money. The villa was lovely and clean and well appointed. A little TLC needed where there has been previous damage. Shops and restaurants all close by. The beach is only a 10-15minutes walk.

Breakfast was tasty but portion size was small: half a piece of bacon each. 1 way transfer was included in the booking but when we asked and showed the booking confirmation we were told it wasn’t included so had to arrange our own that was cheaper than what was offered. The night before our departure it was extremely loud until 1:30am; literally like being next to a club. Not ideal when we weee getting picked up at 4am for our flight home.

Hospitality was pleasant. Locals were nice. Villas were clan, spacial and pool was amazing.

The bedroom on the bottom floor smelt mouldy and musty, wo we stayed in the room on the top level.
