Bellevue Villa Madeira Magnificent Sea View

Beautiful property, private, clean and luxurious house.

The owner was not proactive or forthcoming with helping us with a problem (roof leakage and no hot water). It was very difficult to contact the owner and he was not proactive towards us to solve this issue.

Huge villa in an excellent location. Swimming pool was great, lots of space, pool table great addition! Amazing views in a peaceful area, away from busy nightlife but very close to local restaurants and cafes in short walking distance. Supermarket short drive away.

Wow! We had the most amazing time at the Villa! Excellent communication from the hosts and we were met on arrival, even though pretty late, by Rosa to make sure we had everything we needed. The villa itself is just perfect - the best view on the island for sunsets and so well equipped for self catering. As a family of four (with two teens) we basically had a suite each! One bedroom is upstairs with a sitting room and pool table (we played a lot of pool!) looking out to the ocean, and the other bedrooms open out onto the terrace. The rooms are all really big, the beds are very comfy and the main room has a king size bed. The pool and garden are amazing! We weren't sure if the villa would be near enough to the village, be we wanted to stay somewhere fairly quiet. Prazeres was just what we were looking for. Easy walking distance (10 mins max), small well stocked supermarket, 3 restaurants, 3/4 cafes / bars, and a new pizza restaurant (by the supermarket) also does take out so if you want an evening by the pool watching the sunset -sorted! It is a lovely village, with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. The local villages of Jardim do Mar, Paul do Mar, Calheta and Ponta Sol are all within 15/20 minutes drive away and easy to access. We drove around the whole of the island and got a real feel for Madeira. But nothing compared to coming back to the villa and we were so pleased we chose to stay here! Tip for anyone who isn't used to really steep roads - hire an automatic car! Made a huge difference for us. We used Madeira Rent via Zest and they were brilliant. The villa is on a fairly steep road - but that's totally normal in Madeira - I'm not good with driving on hills, and worked out the best way to deal with it (and it was really easy this way) was to approach it from the top and drive down to the villa (it's right at the top of the hill on the right - just for when you first arrive really and aren't used to it yet).

Amazing villa, perfect for big familly, comfortable, modern and well-organised. Heating is included and sufficient in all rooms, and there is even well-tuned piano!

pool cover had some issues with closing, but due to holidays it was difficult to find a technitian.

Some of the kitchen appliances were difficult to use as we didn't have any instructions in English on how to use them. For example to extractor fan and induction hob. We did work out how to use the hob but couldnt get the extractor fan working. Also some of the blinds in the room were faulty. We could have also cleaned up better if there was a hoover available.

The villa was in a quiet location yet had access to local shops and restaurants. The pool was heated and clean. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All amenities one could need for a comfortable stay.

There was nothing really to dislike. Rosa, the host, was great, she provided all information necessary and was there when needed.
