Douliana Villas

We spent our family holiday at Douliana Villas and truly enjoyed the peaceful setting, far from the crowds. The swimming pool was great for relaxing (depth is around 1.6 m, so better suited for confident swimmers), and the nearby tavern served delicious food with a wonderful local atmosphere at very reasonable prices. The location is also convenient for exploring — beautiful beaches and the lovely city of Chania are just a short drive away. A car is definitely needed to make the most of the area. We also appreciated the cleaning service and fresh towels every three days.

There are a few things that could make the experience even better: - Wi-Fi is only available outside, and in some apartments even the terrace has no signal. With mobile coverage also being limited, this made staying connected a bit tricky. - No insect screens on the windows, so you either need to keep them closed at night and use air conditioning, or risk a few mosquito visitors. - Pillows could be more comfortable. - Sewer smell in the ground floor bathroom. - On a couple of mornings, we were woken early (6:00 am) by cleaning staff playing videos on their phones — not every day, but a quieter start would have been nicer. Overall, Douliana Villas is a lovely and relaxing place with a lot of charm. With just a few small improvements, it could be absolutely perfect.

Spacious with good AC. Regular cleaning and towel/bedding changes.

Nothing but neighbours could be a bit noisy and bedrooms could have had a couple of tables/stands for suitcases

Dépaysement assuré, très calme, a l’écart du tumulte estival et pourtant proche de tout

Localisation et organisation des lieux et la piscine

Vous n'aurez pas forcément la Villa que vous voyez en description sur le site et les équipements de la cuisine sont très spartiates. L'eau du robinet est indiquée comme étant non potable. Étant dans une démarche de réduction des déchets ça nous a beaucoup beaucoup gêné de devoir consommer de l'eau en plastique.
