The Muddy

Fitted the bill beautifully. Shall return again to stay at the Muddy and say hello to the local wildlife including the owners!

What's not to like?

Beautiful accomodation and grounds. Could stay for longer. Cathie also provided us with some stablews for cooking which was lovely.

Great ambiance. Tranquil, cosy and private yet with wall to wall windows offering gorgeous views. Loved playing the fabulous record collection on the HiFi.

Beautiful cottage, lovely fireplace and very comfortable

Lovely building tastefully decorated. A very comfortable bed. There were lots of supplies in the kitchen. The 2 burner hot plate very quirky to operate A medium size TV but a lovely record player with good records..A beautiful farm property and lovely people.

It was the beginning of winter and the solar hot water ran out on the second day also no heating in the bathroom, so no showers. Also the lovely wood burner required reloading every 2 hours(small size) otherwise it would go out even with the vents closed. This also meant 3 trips during the night down the spiral staircase.

The verandah at the front has a beautiful view - a great spot to watch the sunset. The pair of sheep in the field opposite were sweet and friendly. This location suited us - we were doing the Great Victorian Bike Trail. This spot is an ideal base for that. Alexandra has good shopping and a very handy supermarket.

It was just perfect!

The large space and feeling of country luxury while having the feeling of seclusion.
