Hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive to any requests we had. They picked up milk for our daughter as we arrived late, came to help when we had an issue with wasps and when something in the villa needed fixing

Fabulous country getaway, fantastic clean pool. Beautiful traditional Spanish home. We were delighted to have a coffee machine the same as we have at home in Ireland. It really felt like home away from home. Our host a very kind, thoughtful man, The road down was a little bit challenging at first but was fine after we did it once or twice. Matteus offered to drive us on the road if we weren't comfortable. He couldn't do enough for us. we would love to go back. We absolutely loved it.

In certain areas needs a little updating

Amazing location! Quiet and peace. Surrounded by mango and grape fields. House was very well equipped. And the owners were so so kind and friendly. Amazing stay! We didn’t want to leave.

This charming home is set in the mountains amongst vineyards and mango trees with stunning sunrises and sunsets. It’s swimming pool is excellent, clean and very large and perfect for a large family or group and the home is very well equipped. The site gets the sun all day long and we had some special times sitting out in the shaded porch area as the evening drew in and on into the night. The air conditioning in all 4 of the bedrooms is absolutely superb. There are a number of treks and walks nearby and it is easy to walk a trail into the nearby village of El Borge and loop the roads through the village of Almáchar back to the property (in all about 7km). These nearby villages have plenty of restaurant and local tapas options. Whilst the house is rural and set in the mountains it is only 25mins to the beach or towns (Rincon de la Victoria or Velez-Malaga) which is very convenient. The owners, Matias & Pepe (Josefa) are helpful, kind and hard working locals and they helped us out at every possible time - They even bought us 2 new yoga mats to allow us practice in this stunning setting. I really recommend this rural home to those of you who would like to be a little off the beaten track (but not too far)

The final 1km road to the house is narrow and steep in parts (thankfully in our week there we didn’t meet another car at the same time as reversing could be a challenge) and there is one 10 meter section which was a little challenging for our underpowered small rental car (but we always made it up the hill:-)). In the very hot weather in July and August the main kitchen area got warm but never too hot (it doesn’t have its own air conditioning) as the traditional design of the house is made for the heat. Neither of these points would put me off going back.

The views were magnificent and the property filled with ample pots, pans and cutlery. Pool was the best we've ever had in Spain.

The 1km journy to reach the house was a little uneven but no problem if you just put the car in 1st gear and take your time. A mirror on one of the bends would be welcome.

The location is so peaceful. The owners met us promptly at the arranged meeting point and took us to the villa. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Villa has 4 decent size bedrooms and 2 good size bathrooms. Cant fault anything.. Lovely BBQ area with outside sink etc. Pool is gated off so would suit families with younger children. Will return.
