Villa Marata

We never had a warmer welcome, the hosts a incredibly welcoming and friendly. The house is beautiful  and feels like a home away from home. It has everything you may need, we stayed with our children and we all had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the house, the pool, the outside BBQ area and the spacious living arrangements. Highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful welcome ever in a holiday home with local specialities and self-made lemonade. The host gave us a tour of the house and at the end we toasted with raki. Maria and Kostas were very responsive when we had a question. They gave us several tips around the area to visit or to eat. Maria treated us well with local sweets, lemonade and tea. There are two parts of the house (yellow part and blue part) Yellow side: There are 2 bedrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, with a double bed and ensuite (small) bathroom (incl toilet, shower and sink). There is an extra toilet with sink next to the living room. Upstairs there is a gym (without airco). Blue side: On the top floor, there is one bedroom with a double bed and next door another bedroom with a children bunk bed. The bed underneath has wheels and can be moved. At the same floor there is a separate bathroom with a bath/shower, sink, toilet. Downstairs is the kitchen witch is open to the living room (middle part with the curved wall). All the bedrooms have airco and the living room as well. The kitchen is well equipped. Spices were not available but we got them without hesitation from Maria. Next to the kitchen there is an outside area with a large table (6 chairs) and a large lounge bed. The view is spectacular from here. At the side of the outside terras there is a small room with a washing machine and dryer. The swimming pool is as described and all sunbeds were all right. There were some floaties available and some pool toys. There is a small area with a table to sit and relax and another BBQ area next to the pool. Very quiet area, not a lot of road trafic. Maria lives in an apartment below the house. There is a separate entrance. We only knew she was there if her car was there. She kept her distance and respected our privacy.

The mattresses on the double beds were spring-loaded and very hard. We're not used to that. The green bed creaked a lot. Just minor things to all the positive things of the house.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Marata.The villa is spacious and very well decorated. The view from the veranda to the sea is marvelous. We loved swimming in the swimming pool and enjoying the amazing sunset. Another plus is the barbeque area. The owners are wonderful people taking care of all our needs. We would like to come back again.

There was nothing to bother us. We had a great time.

Great location, amazing views and lots of privacy

pool was cold bathroom showers were not great and dogs barking at night woke us up every night
