Nafpaktos cottage by the sea for travelers and dreamers!

Quite difficult to write this review as the cottage was more of a family home than the usual holiday rental - some people may like that, others not. For us, the plus points were :- Communication with the owner, Cristina, was excellent - prompt, helpful, informative and friendly. Location - great. The cottage was out "in the sticks" and was situated in an enormous garden - full of olive, orange, lemon and persimmon trees - which stretched down to the sea. A spacious and comfortable living room A very good range of kitchen appliances.

The negative aspects were to do with it being used, apparently on a fairly regular basis, as a family home. This meant that the 2 bedrooms were full of "family stuff" - so rather congested space-wise. Also, there was a most eclectic mix of pans, crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. Given the large number of cats on the property, for cat lovers, it must be a cat heaven - but, if you are not , be warned..

Sehr grosser Garten mit Olivenbäumen, Katzen und Feigen direkt am Steinstrand. Tavernen in der näheren Umgebung. Nettes ruhiges Sommerhaus mit zwei Schlafzimmern und mehreren Katzen, die Tochter wohnt im Häuschen daneben..

We had a great weekend at Christina's house. She was a great host and very hospital. We got fresh figs from her big garden. The house is very cosy and personal, directly at the beach, very clear water and nobody else except us. We will definitely come back. Good fish taverns around after a short drive.

The place overall is beautiful. The apartment has a real unique atmosphere, we had the feeling it is really a place in use, like someone lives there, and not a made up one just furbished for holiday purposes. We had everything we needed. The place is quiet, like we had the fear the motorway will be heard, but nothing of that. Also the sea is not distubing, because of the couple of meters between the house and the sea. The only sound there is is the serenade of the cicadas, but they are also stopping for the night. The apartment is located in a very big garden, mostly olive trees, but a lot other, which is also good to walk around, during nights. The Landlord lady is very friendly and supportive, so be nice to her! She has a lot of cats, they are also welcomming the guests. The sea cost is located by the end of the garden, accesible by a private gate. The coast is really isolated, you won't figft for it with anyone. The seaside is mostly smaller rock covered, with a usual sea flora and faune one may observe for days.

We were there at the hottest 10 days of the summer, which was hard to tolerate. It was much better inside the water, but we still had to keep siesta breaks.

The house is in a field full of olive trees in front of the beach. The field was sarounded by fence and it was safe to let our 2 dogs free to run in it without any stress. Excelent place for relaxation, quiet area where you can enjoy the nature with the sound of birds and the sea waves. The house is fully equiped with all the amenities.

All was excelent but I would really apreciate if the house had an espresso machine.

Super-friendly & helpful host. The place is gorgeous & spacious. The location is great. Trust me, you don't want to live inside Nafpaktos; too much noise & traffic. Whereas in this villa you can really relax and enjoy the countryside, the clean air, be close to nature, have your kids play around without worrying and in general enjoy your stay. We will definitely choose the same, when we decide to visit Nafpaktos again.

GORGEOUS property, GORGEOUS high quality home, so pleasantly and comfortably laid out, with everything thoughtfully prepared in advance. Comfortably beds, warm home, screens on windows, plenty of hot water - the house is a dream. We had such a relaxing weekend, Christina is a lovely and generous hostess. We appreciated the fresh mandarins straight off the tree! Easy access to walks on the beach with our dog who Christina generously welcomed, great fish restaurants in the area - all just wonderful! Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation in the countryside!

The whole experience was amazing. The house and the olive trees create a magic atmosphere.
