Villa Irene Syros

The property is absolutely beautiful and so easy and comfortable. Lenina was helpful and attentive, even though she was not feeling well. Our ferry was cancelled due to a storm and the owner allowed us to stay an extra night. Very compassionate and understanding. I highly recommend this home for your stay in Syros!!

Not one thing!

The location of the property is not accessible to any transport means crept going up or down may stairs. The available parking is too far away and this makes the travel to and from this location a nightmare. This is not reflected at all in the description and people visiting do not have the knowledge of the problems in the area. We travelled with kids and older person and was a nightmare to bring the luggage to the house and of course then bring everything back. It is unprofessional not to mention this in the description and notify the guests to be able to make the right choice. I guess this is the methodology of the owner not to share details of this problem and let the people when they arrive live with the situation. This to me is clearly not acceptable and not professional.

The accommodations themselves were very nice. We were only there 2 nights. The place is very nice with a lot of space and a beautiful balcony that overlooks downtown and the port. it was an easy walk to restaurants and shopping areas.

We got in late due to the ferry schedule and had to pick up the keys at a bar near the port. Better directions would have been welcome. We did not know that a car cannot take you to the unit because it is in an area that is only accessible by foot. That added to the charm of the home and mad it very walkable to the primary downtown area. However, arriving late and having to carry luggage up a lot of stairs was not the best. I would recommend that you get two sets of directions from the host, one to a drop off spot that is above the unit so you don't have to carry your luggage uphill and one for clear walking directions from the drop off spot to the unit.

The villa is incredible with a beautiful view of the Harbor. Very comfortable beds and nicely appointed throughout.

Well furnished, spacious home with all the amenities and more for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Away from the traffic and very quiet. Only 10 to 15 minute walk from the port and 5 to 10 minutes from Miaouli Square. Three large bedrooms with very comfortable queen-size beds and a smaller single room. Upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Kitchen fully equipped and host provided many basic necessities for breakfast. Spacious upper terrace with outstanding view of the town and harbour. Exceptional also was the communication, reception, assistance and consideration given to us by the property owner and the caretaker.

For persons with mobility issues it might be a little challenging walking up the picturesque laneways, but the distances are small.

The 150+ stairs between the port level and the villa front door. No vehicular access to the address. Closest parking was only 3 or 4 minutes walk further up the hill.

Great location but you have to walk over 150 steps to get to the accommodation from the main square- good exercise!
