Villa by Mountain Homes- Lansdowne

What a beautiful place in the middle of the mountains. The cottage has a very traditional feel but still very posh. The balcony overlooks the valley and the views are stunning. The staff is very cordial, made us a lovely BBQ dinner. The place is very quite, it has a games/meditation room as well. All in all a perfect family getaway, highly recommended.

Unique location with homely food. Soothing artefacts were placed around different corners of the villa to provide aesthetic vibes. Instagrammable spot 😅

The price is bit high. Reason behind this comment is the location is at the top where there are no facilities or any tourist spot available nearby. Even the caretakers had to go far to bring food products.

Absolutely stunning property and location, friendly hosts. Rooms are quite spacious, very well maintained, good decor. The property is quite self served, removed from all the hustle bustle of the city, loved the stay:)

Location is superb and with awesome scenic beauty. We were deliriously contented.

Peaceful location for sure. People from the village are warm and kind and want to help. The property allows pets, we didn't have one but another family brought them and it was nice to have the fur buddy playing around.

You won't find mobile signals. It was hard for me to walk upstairs for every single talk with the managers of the property. They had these walky talky things kept in our villa but the caretaker told us it didn't work. I tried to switch it on, I guess it said needs charging...I left few WhatsApp messages to the owner of the property who does not live there, only to wait for a message back they said they will take care of the charging but no one did anything related to get those up and running. You need to plan ahead of every meal with the caretakers because you are in a small village and they try to bring every vegetable fresh, not many options if its rainy ( which it was that can hinder the food supplies). They are likely offering drinking water from their harvesting channels, my father and sister got stomach aches for days. Please purchase water bottles from the small Rawat shop nearby. All in all, it wasn't a great place to stay especially with your older parents with whom you may need things on call. I would only prefer this property if you are looking to disconnect for a few days, don't care about not having a TV for days, want to meditate and find peace in nature and don't expect things to show up on call.
