This was a stunning property for 5 sisters to spend a week in Guadeloupe. Stephanie, the host of this home was responsive and communicative throughout the process of renting the home. You will be blown away entering this property and seeing the view for the first time. The covered patio and pool area was where we spent most of our time. The pool is warm and kept beautifully clean. There is a large table great for meals and playing games, and there is a comfortable gathering area for coffee or cocktail hour. Having 5 bedrooms was great as we each had our own private space with large beds. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and cookware. While the house is not in a walkable area for restaurants or beaches, it is greatly positioned for exploring the island with beautiful beaches and restaurants within 15 to 45 minutes and both sides of the "butterfly" and the airport are easily accessed. We often travel places where Americans don't typically travel, so aren't expecting local people to speak English. However if you are not comfortable with navigating French, you need to be aware that the concierge and house materials are all in French. The island has aging water infrastructure so experiences water outages. Villa Magar has reserve tanks. Unfortunately our area was experiencing an extended outage while we were there. The reserve tanks ran out and our concierge was not very helpful. I put this in the positives section, because a neighbor and friend of the owner went above and beyond to reach out directly to Stephanie and order us a water delivery. He was lovely and we were lucky he came to our rescue. We were out of water for a full night and day, but without him, it would have been much worse. Overall despite a few hiccups we loved our time at the Villa.

It would have been nice to have some hand soap in the bathrooms and kitchen. The door locks are getting old and some of the keys were difficult to manage. The concierge could have done a better job showing us around the place and explaining the appliances as they were designed very differently than what we are used to. I also think it would have been nice if they had communicated what was going on with the water and checked the reserve tanks in order to proactively schedule a delivery. I understand there was a language barrier, but when we have encountered this in other places, we use Google Translate and it works fine. One of us has some pretty good French so we would have been able to understand. When I reached out, she had me walking in the dark and the rain, outside of the gated property looking for a meter. She wanted me to use a knife or spoon to open it and read it. She never offered to come to the house or explained about the water outage. We were lucky the kind neighbor came to our rescue.

Belle vue et appartement bien conçu, sur un étage avec piscine et jacuzzi. Le quartier est très calme.

La piscine doit être mieux entretenue.

Villa très spacieuse et tout à fait conforme à l'annonce .La remise des clés avec Reine tout aussi facile que notre départ et check out avec Fred,qui sont très professionnels.
