Villa ROTGER

Location was perfect, very easy to walk to town. Swimming pool was fantastic, a good size and clean. House was equipped with everything we needed and spacious. Double bed in 2nd room very uncomfortable and requires changing. House very spacious but could do with being updated and modernized.

Area around the house needs a tidy up, cutting back of shrubs etc.

Villa is close to amenities. Nice villa but very dark both inside and out.

Sixty foot trees run along one side of this property means no sun till midday, pool deep and always cold. Water drainage ditch alongside garden. Mosquitos rampant. Never been bitten like this anywhere I have travelled. Spoiled the holiday as impossible to sit out at pool or on verandah without being eaten alive...and that despite citronella candles, gallons of repellant and anti mosquito coils!

Everything! the pool was much bigger than expected. really great location for walking to town and getting out to explore the rest of the north of the island. only 45-50 mins to Palma by car if you wanted to do that. lovely and quiet at night. be very happy to go back. there is a great amount of seating on the upper level for breakfast and then the sun in the evening too, great view of the mountains to wind the day down.

We didn't think to open the lounge shutters until about 3 days in! the lounge is a bit dark with them all closed. but as soon as you open them .... bingo. it wasn't rocket science ! the fridge was a bit wobbly but it really didn't matter, I should have put a prop under it.

The villa was clean and attractive the pool was lovely though sadly only used once as weather bad

We expected to be met at the villa as when we asked if we could change the entry time an answer said yes this could be done at no extra cost making us assume a personal handover---we waited for an hour before finally being fortunate enough to contact booking.com who told us it was key entry and self help and gave us the entry code No shower gel or soap scanty loo paper kitchen sinks blocked before we used them---but were fixed quickly

* very spacious and clean * outside pool area is beautiful and very private, totally secluded * air conditioning and heating work well with silent mode for night * mosquito shield on windows * key collection via the keybox was convenient amd easy * kitchen very well equipt with plenty of plates/bowls/cutlery * comfortable lounge area * pool table in the shade, plenty of outdoor seating areas on balcony, by pool or patio (by pool table) * communication from management company whilst experience issues away - although they have yet to reply now we have returned. * short walk into Pollenca Town with resturants/shops etc A really nice villa and without the disruptions we suffered sleeping and time taken contacting managment company (Portvil), it would be 100% perfect.

* The water pump was broken, causing a noise constantly. This disturbed sleep in the twin bedroom. An engineer came, and was unable to fix. Water was turned off in 2 bathrooms until plumber could come the next day. The next day the plumber 'fixed" the issue, but at 11pm it started to malfunction again. We reported this again and another.engineer paid a visit. We ended up moving the beds into the lounge for 3 of the 5 nights we stayed and one night we were able to use the bedroom, we were without use of 2 bathrooms. Management company said they would discuss a refund with the manager/owner, but as yet they are still to reply! * Beds creaks with every turn and needs replacing. Very hard matress. * Wardrobes smell musty,. maybe this is as we stayed at the start of the season and they needed airing out. *Please note 2 of the 3 bathrooms are external. You need to go outside the kitchen to access the shower room. We didn't have use of these due to the water pump issue * Parking is tight on the driveway for a larger car, but there was parking for free at the end of tenancy drive on the road. We always found a space.

The pool and surrounding area was wonderful. The pool table was great as well, especially as there was a beer fridge next to it! The villa was clean and spacious and the location on the edge of town really suited us.

The mosquitos! We were plagued the whole time, inside and out, despite there being nets on most of the windows. We were disappointed there were no basics provided such as hand soap and washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets, or extra loo rolls, and it would have been nice to have some mosquito spray! The beds were comfy, but three of the frames were really creaky.

Loved the pool...!!! Excellent size.. Loved relaxing on the balcony whilst dining & drinking with family Loved the billiards table & table tennis.. Overall... Loved our family holiday

Location

Number of mosquitoes around the villa. We were unable to use the area with the pool table or the balcony in the evenings. We were all bitten a large number of times, despite using mosquitoe repellent and plug in repellents in the villa. The close proximity of the garden, trees and water behind the hedge in next door villa a haven for mosquitoes. One member of the family had over 30 bites !!!
