Villa Cavelossim

The location of the villa was good. Close to amenities, beach and restaurants. The grounds were well kept and the swimming pool clean.

The villa was tired and urgently needed upgrading. Our photos show internal doors had been badly damaged, windows were insecure and frames warped. Taps missing in kitchen and the dirty condition of the electrical switches and sockets caused us concern. Hot water was non existent and the bathroom urgently needed upgrading. Our original booking on September 2024 was for a 4 bedroomed villa No. 52 Louisa by the Sea for which a deposit was made and confirmed. On the 16th November we received notification that the villa now allocated was Villa Porta Vellucci in the Velim area if Cavelossim, several miles away from Villa 52. This was totally unacceptable for various reasons. We asked for a refund. After contacting Booking.com several times notification was received (9th December) offering us Villa 55 Louisa by the Sea which we accepted. A two bedroomed Villa. On the 11th December we were notified from Booking.com that we had been allocated Villa 52 (the original Villa booked). Totally confusing. On the 12th December we were notified that the Villa allocated was now Villa 55. Again we accepted this Villa and arrived on the 13th January 2025. In view of our experience we believe we are due compensation and would be happy to supply further details if required.

Liked the location. It is within walking distance to the beach and a bunch of restaurants and shops and a supermarket. Manager Marina was really helpful, and communication from the management was prompt. Cleaning staff was professional. Amenities provided, such as linen, towels, and toiletries, are adequate. Villa itself is spacious and clean. The villa complex is beautiful with perfect tropical landscaping, and the best part about the villa is that it's adjacent to Sal River. Watching the sunrise over the river was a bonus, which was completely unexpected and truly magnificent.

The villa can do with a bit of renovation. The flooring and furniture are quite old. Mattresses are old and rundown. The kitchen could be designed better with separate space for keeping the housekeeping tools.

Wi-Fi didn’t work and issues with intermittent hot water

Villa is walkable distance from the beach. Villa was spacious. The kitchen had quite a lot of utensils + microwave + Mixer + hot water.

The name of the entire villa complex is Luisia by the sea. It is quite confusing and maybe misleading to have this name on the portal. Faced water issue one day - but got to know it was due to some external reason and was fixed in an hour.
