Ampelos Cretan Villa - Private Pool & Heated Ozone Jacuzzi

Wonderful location in small village with excellent views. Very much enjoyed the jacuzzi. Too cold for the pool. We were greeted by the owners. They left us with fresh vegetables and fruits. One day with visit from Maritina & Thodoris we were treated to a fantastic clay oven meal. Later Thodoris gave us a tour of their olive grove and vineyard. Our time at the Villa was very enjoyable.

Uiteraard het zwembad en de jacuzzi met muziekboxen. Verder een prachtige omgeving en uitzicht. Auto is een must ivm locatie in de bergen. Wie voor de rust gaat komt hier echt tot rust. Eigenaren zijn bijzonder aardig en behulpzaam. Reageren snel op vragen.

De matrassen en de kussens vonden wij persoonlijk minder. Maar nogmaals, dat is persoonlijk.

Great house in the little village of Gerolakkos. We rented it for two weeks, and it was the most relaxed vacation we had in years. Our two boys (8 and 4)loved the cottage, especially the swimming pool and the jacuzzi :). From the terrace(and jacuzzi) you have a great view of the mountains surrounding the village. It's very private with a lot of outdoor space for living outdoors. The house itself isn't big but for a family of 4-5, it's perfect! The owners ( Maritina & Thodoris ) are really nice and make sure you have a great time. They asked us every day if we needed something, but they also leave you be if you don't want a lot of contact. They came and cooked with us one evening, it was really nice and our kids really loved making their own pizza from scratch with Thodoris. He also made us a traditional Cretan lamb stew, it was very delicious as were the pizzas. We rented a car for two weeks because it's about an half hour drive from Chania and there are no big stores closer than Chania. But it's a beautiful drive to Chania trough the mountains. Amazing views. We loved the pool and the jacuzzi and we loved the house and the hosts! When you're chilling on the terrace in the evening you only hear goats, sheep, dogs, geese and birds of prey and it's so lovely and quiet to hear nothing but that.. sometimes you can hear greek music played by people down in the village or families coming together to share a meal. Very authentic and as I said before, we truly loved it. Crete is a beautiful island with beautiful beaches and little villages to explore :)

Very kind owners, reached out every other day to check if everything is ok. The garden with pool and jacuzzi was great. There was even food left for us

This place is gorgeous 😊 Martina and Thodoris are very helpful and very friendly. The quiet and beautiful views together with the facilities, swimming pool, jacuzzi, bbq area, pizza oven makes the place unique. You get everything, even charcoal for the bbq together with fire starters and wood for the pizza oven. Martina and Thodoris go the extra mile and prepaired some food in the fridge like ham, cheese, milk, eggs and other stuff so when we arrived a bit latish we still could get something to eat, not forgetting raki 😊 They also checked with us on a daily basis via WhatsApp checking if everything is OK whilst sending us travelling tips. We were a family of five people and we loved the place to bits. Everyone of us enjoyed it very much. Thanks once again Martina and Thodoris 👏👏👏 We all highly reccomend this villa.

Having to leave.... 🤣 We wanted to stay more. Nothing we didn't like.
