Sandpiper - charming beach villa

Sandpiper is self-catering accommodation and it was well furnished for those purposes. The small kitchen is well-provisioned and usable. It is set in a small compound just off the street and is peaceful.

It was a little further from the centre of Port Fairy than easy walking permits. With there being no taxi service in Port Fairy (or at least, none I was able to identify), that meant someone having to undertake driving duties for the evening meal.

Sandpiper was very well equipped - lots of unexpected extras.

The email for the code to enter the property did not arrive until 3 days after we had left - we had to make several calls to Theodore and Michael to get the information for that and the WIFI code. Sandpiper was advertised as 'charming beach villa' and 2 bedroomed which we think is false advertising. It was my error that I did not read the small print stating that it was 2000 metres from the beach (you could just see the ocean from outside) and had bunks. In our opinion the queen bed was in the living room. The other bedroom was very small but big enough to put the top bunk mattress on the floor for my 77 year old husband. Climbing up the end of the bunk, holding on to the side rail which fell out was very difficult - wonder if you have tried to do that Michael? most probably okay for children.
