Exclusive Villa - Amazing View & Private Pool

House has all facilities, very clean, great view, comfortable beds. Our host Vaso was very attentive and quickly solved a problem we had with the dishwasher. We also appreciated all the goodies that were waiting for us on our arrival (including very tasty homemade cookies).

There was nothing we did not like. House was at first a bit difficult to find using the address listed on Booking, but again, our host Vaso kindly guided us to arrive at the destination.

We stayed here in October 2023 and had a wonderful time. The villa is very clean and modern, the views are amazing and you have everything you need here for a comfortable stay - pots and pans, toasters and a coffee machine among other things. There is a smart tv too and our kids enjoyed watching their favourite cartoons in the morning on Netflix. The hosts are lovely and very kind, we asked if the gate to the pool is in working order as we have a toddler and a new gate was installed for us prior to our arrival. The pool can still be accessed without opening the gate too, but you would have to walk around the house to get to it, which made us feel much safer with our toddler. The host also left a welcome basket of goodies for us which included home made treats, biscuits, jam and honey, wine, raki and other treats. Our flight was delayed and the host waited for us until the early hours to personally welcome us into the property and provided us with lots of helpful information, tips and recommendations for our stay. We were also allowed to stay longer on our check out date. As our flight back got cancelled, the host also kept checking in with us to make sure we are alright and provided us with information on transport bookings and other things. We really appreciated the personal touch, loved the villa and all the amenities we had here and hope we can come back some day for another visit.

Couple of very minor things - we found the mattresses on the beds too soft for our liking at first, but got used to them by the end of our stay. Another thing to bear in mind if you have a baby or toddler - the spindles on the staircase are spaced wide apart making the stairs, especially the upstairs landing, unsafe for a little person. We put a suitcase+chair against the spindles and used another chair as a makeshift baby gate so it didn’t cause an issue for us with our 2-year old and we never mentioned it to the host.

Beautiful, clean, quiet and wonderful host. She left many goodies( from olive oil, raki to laundry detergent and dishwasher tablet to name a few) and even brought us home cooked food. Nothing is too much trouble and all the recommendations are perfect. House is very well equipped. With a car, this is a perfect spot as you are not far away from town, shops, restaurants and lots of beaches North and South. Amazing sunrise from the bed not to be missed!

The fact that we have to leave. We'll love to come back.

I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Rethymno. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Vaso was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much. Excellent property and breathtaking panoramic view. The house is really clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. Wish we weren’t just passing through and this was our home! 😂
