Villa Sunset with stunning sea view, kids area and hammocks on roof terrace

Die Villa ist super schön gelegen mit wunderbarer Aussicht und dabei ganz exklusiv in den eigenen vier Wänden. Ibrahim ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er hat uns bei Ankunft mit Obst und Gemüse und einer kleinen Grundausstattung im Kühlschrank überrascht und war jederzeit bei Fragen und kleinen Anliegen für uns verfügbar. Die Familie ist sehr herzlich und die Villa sehr gut gepflegt. Die Villa liegt abseits der Touristenströme und sehr ruhig an einem Hang. Die Anfahrt ist beim ersten Mal etwas abenteuerlich (Google Maps navigiert zuverlässig), aber am Ende kein Problem. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch die Taverne Andreas in Laufnähe. Ansonsten ist ein Auto absolut notwendig. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Die Matratzen waren für uns etwas zu weich, aber das ist nur ein kleines Manko und individuell ja Geschmacksache.

Ibrahim was delightful and happy to help us with anything and made himself available whenever we needed to check on something. The pool was great and the children's area was perfect to keep our little one entertained.

There was nothing I didn't like

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Villa Sunset! The view is spectacular and the home is so comfortable and homey. It truly exceeded my expectations. There was so much to enjoy, whether it was swinging in the hammock chairs and taking in the vista, enjoying a meal on the shady veranda, or lounging in the pool. It was truly a dream to stay at this wonderful property. Thank you to Ibrahim and Karima for your warm hospitality! They truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including a warm welcome with fresh fruit, veggies, eggs and bread upon our arrival. I would definitely recommend Villa Sunset.

Sunset Villa was so clean and a great place to be on vacation. The area is very safe and quiet to be with kids. The scenery from the Villa is amazing and it's nice to spend nights at the balcony.

We have just come back from an amazing time at Villa Sunset! Crete is an incredible island to explore and yet the villa was so well equipped, with a fantastic pool and beautiful views that it was almost tempting just to stay put for the whole holiday. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers who like their own company and the different outdoor spaces meant there was somewhere for everyone to chill out. There has been so much thought gone into the villa and it has everything that you need for your stay. There are also lots of additional extras that make the holiday complete such as a wide variety of books, board games, snorkels, and outdoor games items - we had a lot of fun with the volleyball which is something that we would never have been able to take with us in the suitcase! Ibrahim was an excellent host with exactly the right balance between being attentive and also giving us space to enjoy the holiday. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were so grateful to have Ibrahim meet us, help with our suitcases and show us into the property. There were already essentials in the cupboard and the fridge and tasty local fruit! It was clear that nothing was too much trouble and Ibrahim's local knowledge and advice helped us immensely during the holiday. The area is lovely and quiet, surrounded by beautiful landscape and it was a real treat to be able to pick fresh lemons from the tree by the pool! The villa is not too far from Rethymno, however you do need a car to get to the property as it is about 15 minutes from the town up some very steep roads! There is a lovely taverna within walking distance of the villa - it is only about 5 minutes if you can tolerate a bit of a hill climb on the way back. Everything else needs a car, however there are plenty of supermarkets in Rethymno and to be honest if you really want to see Crete then a car is a must anyway. We prefer to be out of the really touristy areas and so this was the perfect base for us.

One bathroom with 2 teenagers was a little challenging, however nothing that couldn't be overcome with kind negotiations and encouragements to be a little more efficient in the bathroom!

The villa is beautiful, clean and spacious. Plenty of space outside, clean pool, terrace with stunning views, barbeque, different sitting areas, with olenty of space for kids to play. The perfect place wether you are a couple or a family, this villa is just what you need!

Very beautiful and comfortable villa and lovely pool area. Kids loved the rooftop with hammocks. In the villa you can find everything you need. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They brought us fresh vegetables and fruits and we could pick lemons from the tree in the yard. The area is peaceful and quiet and in a short distance from the sea, shops and tavernas. Rethymno is also near. We had absolutely fantastic two weeks in Villa Sunset.
