Location, Location, Location. So, so quiet and peaceful, with a great view down to the sea. Great swimming pool. We loved it

The stairs in this property do not meet UK and European building regulations. Going upstairs is fine but coming down, the stair treads/goings are not deep enough and the spine string overlaps the tread and causes a trip hazard. My son ended up in hospital falling down the stairs, banging his head and having bruises all over his arms, legs and body and as adults we were stepping down sideways not to fall however we still had incidents. I have informed the host and Booking.com that the stairs in this property are dangerous and should be changed before an adult or especially a child has a serious accident. I have left this with their conscience after explaining to them how the stairs do not meet regulations and they are dangerous. We raised a claim and the host covered only some of it and his attitude was not great. He told us he is doing it without accepting liability and that the regulations do not apply to older buildings like his. The fridge in the kitchen does not cool enough on the highest setting. The chicken we put in it went off in less than 2 days. The drains are very bad throughout the property and especially in the en-suite bathroom where the drain in the shower is almost completely blocked and as a result the bedroom was flooded causing us a lot of unnecessary work. The barbeque was mainly broken and clapped out and took a lot of work to get it into a useable state. It is fair to say most of the appliances at the property are of poor quality and semi functional if at all. We also received an email 3 days before our stay warning us about a crack near the sunbathing area. We found that it was a bit strange to be warned about cracks when really this issue should have been dealt with immediately. The chair that was complained about previously by another guest is still broken.

The pool was lovely. Beds and bedrooms comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with utensils.

The garden needed tidying. Broken fans in rooms needed removing. Drains in both showers took forever to drain away and therefore water spilled out of tray. Directions to villa need improving.
