SaffronStays Salt Rim on the Beach, Korlai

The property is on the beach, good architectural inspiration. On the front beach, backyard farmland and on either sides of the property there are crematoriums.

Lot of hidden costs, Pratik the caretaker son is hand in gloves with Saffron stay, he made our experience extremely unpleasant and distasteful. The food tastes good but very simple and basic. They fleece lot of money once you enter the property. Not worth wasting money and peace of mind especially when on a holiday. The harrowing experience we had, wish no family endures such an ordeal. Our worst holiday experience ever, thanks to Saffron stay and the caretakers son. I request Mr Iyer (the legit owner) reconsiders working with Saffron stay and the caretakers. We have stayed in the property when it was with Nivalink in 2014, just for the great experience we had we returned in 2025 but only to swear that we would never go or recommend this to any other guest. Poor management by Saffron stay and the caretakers son. Mr Iyer pls reach out and we shall give you all details.

Helpers were really helpful and courteous.

One of the bathroom's light wasn't working... bathroom's lock and bedroom lock wasn't working.

Many things, but the most we enjoyed is relaxed stay with our pet Googley the beagle. The property has sealed compound, and we can be relax while Googley was moving around and exploring and safe at the same time from external elements. Now for us, the property is amazing, next to the beach, (though the beach is rocky with very less sandy patch, nevertheless you can’t be so close to the nature). Nicely maintained big rooms and very courteous staff.

Breakfast was sufficient for all 4 of us and it tasted good. There could have been more options rather than only one or two items. they should provide more options for breakfast.

The surrounding areas not clean. Access road to Property can be better.

This rustic property is situated right in front of shoreline . One can hear the waves through the balcony. The rain made the things even more better. The property has a beautiful and large open outdoor ground surrounded by tall coconut trees. The care takers made amazing home cooked meals.

The beach sand seems spoilt with some sort of oil spill. Avoid taking white slippers to the beach unless you want to paint them brown.

The location and the staff were great!

The house looked like there was not enough funding put from saffron stays Team. I want to mention specifically that the housekeeping staff was very clean and regularly cleaned. The maintenance of the house such as fixing curtain rods n doors, toiletries in the bathroom were local bottles and broken, etc were quite disappointing. Thus for the money we paid, it was certainly not what we were expecting.
