Villa Holiday World

The pool and bed was very comfortable

It was clean, loved the outdoor area, bbq and pool

We liked everything

The Villa was really nicely laid out and had all the amenities you could want from a holiday home including a BBQ.

The pool on arrival was visibly dirty and after using the pool my children received irritation (One so bad we has to get medical treatment) so we contacted the host who sent out a pool technician - reported on the Sunday and came on the Monday earlier than the Tuesday originally planned which was great. The technician told us the water wasn't safe, it was treated and we waited 24 hours for him to return and let is know the water was safe. We returned to the pool but the water was still off and could still see it was visibly dirty. I offered to clean the pool and was asked not too and said the cleaner would come on Saturday so didn't use the pool again until then. We were out for the day and left the keys for access and when we returned the pool was not cleaned. I contacted the owner on the Sunday who said we didn't allow access as we were not in. We were not informed to be in and were told earlier in the week to always leave the keys in the lock box. The pool was never cleaned during our stay - I am in no way complaining about leaves (From the beautiful gardens) or bugs as this is part of what I would would expect having stayed in many Villa's before. We were assured the pool was checked and cleaned before our stay which I don't dispute but did mention maybe the company were not doing the job they should be doing. I also reported a bad smell in one of the bedrooms which wasn't really addressed and we ended up just putting up with. We paid a premium price for a Villa with a pool which we were hardly able to used and a host who was always very responsive but took little accountability for the issues that we faced sending me to the great reviews they have (Which is part the reason we booked) and this had never happened before - I did say there is a first time for everything and sometimes these things happen but did not seem to care bar apologies. I contacted Booking.

Area ,close to holiday world and taxi rank. Very secure Nice pool.

Pool was dirty when we arrived but was sorted following day. There were storms before we arrived. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Garden furniture could do with being upgraded as they are showing signs of wear and tear. Air con - walls and areas around it showing signs of water damage. We let the host know and she was getting an engineer out to fix the problem so hopefully it will be ok for the next people who arrive.

The location is very nice, right next to a entertainment center and taxi stand Supermarkets nearby and only a 5 minute taxi drive to the city center Also, when we texted the owners that the toaster broke, within 10 minutes she brought us a new toaster, great service!

In my opinion the beds are a bit hard but that is the only negative thing for me

Fantastic property and fantastic hosts- nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and definitely will be coming back
