Great location to use as a base to travel around Margaret River

We would have loved the restaurant to be open. Also a pool on site 😀

We had such a wonderful stay at Barn Hives. The adults-only concept made it feel incredibly peaceful, and without a TV it was the perfect opportunity to properly switch off and unwind. The location is beautiful and surrounded by nature. We also loved the design of the space — it’s been thoughtfully done and feels both cosy and unique. A perfect little escape to slow down and recharge. We’ll definitely be back.

The only small downside was that the hives are fairly close together. During our stay someone parked across the front of our hive, which was a little annoying. They weren’t blocking our driveway and we didn’t need to access the area where they parked, but they had two cars that could have easily fit into the parking bay allocated for their hive. That said, this was more about guest behaviour rather than anything the owners have done wrong.

This was absolutely perfect for us. The individual hives are fantastic for watching the stars. We loved the doors that opened so we could bbq and chat at the same time. The location is also unbelievable, steps from smiths beach and canal rocks, set on a vineyard. It was perfect.
