Astrolithos Castle

In a very nice location, and quite low down in the town so I considered myself lucky when it came to carrying the bags. Well signposted and in a relatively central area. The lady running the place is wonderful and responded quickly to all our requests - thank you!

The shower door was broken and came almost off the hinges. The toilet flushed but left an odd smell.

It's your own private one-bedroom villa in Monemvasia Castle. I loved how close it was to the main entrance of the city, and the directions to find it were easy and clear. Our contact there was lovely and checked in with us via WhatsApp to make sure we were settled and if we needed anything. There is one bedroom and the living room and dining room are sizable. One could easily host a party and live "in residence" there for some time: refrigerator, etc. The air conditioning worked well and fast. Visitors and guests should be fully ready to embrace the history and "ruins" of this spectacular city.

This is an old city/castle, so guests should be prepared to understand that going in. We had some issues with getting hot water, but once we communicated that it was addressed immediately. You will have to carry your own bags to the villa, and note that, if you drive there, you can't park inside the castle walls. You have to park along the main road and bring your bags with you.

Excellent location and apartment was large and comfortable. Marina, the host representative, was very helpful and accommodating.

The bathroom was not great. Toilet did not flush properly and the bathroom had an "odor". Also did not appreciate the tone of the emails I received from management during my stay.

A lovely place to stay within the castle area. The location is very good, near the entrance to the castle and to the swimming area. Marina met us at the entrance of the castle, led us to the room and provided all the necessary info on the facilities. The interior of the villa is a minimalistic luxurious cozy place, reminding that you are in a castle! Thank you for the nice experience.

We had a lovely stay here. The host was in contact with us before our arrival and met us outside of the entrance to the castle town to show us to our place, which was helpful as the town can be somewhat of a maze on your first stroll through (although it's small enough to easily navigate after arriving). The place was a nice mix of ancient and modern, with nice, updated amenities within an old castle-like structure. Monemvasia is a very unique and beautiful place, so it was awesome to be able to stay at a nice/unique spot within the walls of the city.

The room and the location in the castle were absolutely amazing. They were like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.

It wasn’t made clear how to arrive, where to park, how to manage luggage. Some information with maps would have been useful.
