G Villas Siargao

The host and staff were gracious and accommodated my requests.

It was really dirty. Like the shower hose that can easily be wiped wasn't wiped. The little "kitchen" was dirty with dust.. The bed was a real challenge because I kept getting bitemarks and I was scratching my legs and foot during the days i stayed there. It's a bit sad because I know this villa can do so much better with just a little TLC..

Staff were nice. It was in a decent area close to a lot of things but yet quiet enough.

The deck was an absolute death trap. Foot nearly went through. Toilet only worked half the time. The rooms need seriously touch ups. Wifi sucks. What I gathered is that the owner doesn’t live there or even see the property enough. The seems to be zero upkeep of this property.

at first I stayed at the private villa - which apart from a dishonest host and a few minor issues - was a great place to stay. I'd rate it a 7/10. But the cheaper room absolutely sucked.

AC's buttons were missing, so you had to unplug it, to stop it. There was mold, a lot of dirt I had to clean up myself (which looked like hundreds of insect eggs), the water was not running away and shower was always clogged, loose wood in the balcony (dangerous), super thin sheet, No table, no fridge, only 1 towel, very audible rooms (could hear every word of the neighbor). I was so disappointed by this stay. Not worth the money at all. Even half the price would still not be a great deal. Which is a pity, because the place has so much potential.

Location

Hotel keeps a dog that barked all night long and we couldn’t sleep because the walls are very thin and the dog was in the reception area right next to our room. The phone number to reach staff after hours was broken. I didn’t get any sleep due to the dog and went to the reception area multiple times to calm it down between 9pm and 4am with no luck. Shower was also broken and the blanket was too small for two people.

Nice location and private rooms

The room we had could you use some restorations. It was still good and comfortable but the pictures look better than the current state of the room actually was.

From the moment I arrived at the property I was disappointed and very let down by all aspects, from the quality and cleanliness, the terrible service and total lack of basic sanitation and power

Once I had signed the agreement, the staff informed me that the property runs off a generator, this led me to believe that power would be available (I am aware on the island that many properties use generators) however I was then horrified that the generator would only be active between around 7pm until 8am - this led to there being no power all day or evening, consequently there was no access to water or sanitation. The toilet was then out of service and no water supply to the Villa. This is a complete disregard for basic sanitation needs. On requesting the staff kindly to turn on the generator before 7pm I was laughed at and cornered repeatedly by the staff, this ensured for the duration of my stay. I found this extremely disrespectful and rude. This led to the villa being uninhabitable from 8am until 7pm The villa had a padlock on the outside of the doors, however the doers were not fixed in place and could be slid fully open at all times, this meant there was zero safety or security on my stay and my belongings were vulnerable to anyone taking them. The villa was filthy on arrival, the bin contained dirty trash, the toilet had faeces floating in it, the shower was full of human hair and the floors and shelves were dusty The shower was extremely weak (obviously this was only between 7pm and 8am and there was no water supply outside of these times. The shower did not provide hot water, I requested maintenance multiple times to please fix this, obviously no action was taken only a very limited supply of cold water was available to wash No cleaning or refreshing of the villa as provided, I asked for a trash bag when the bin was full and was told that there were none. There was a huge pile of garbage and waste in the central atrium of the villas which was set alight most days to burn the trash, the smell was awful, dirty and looked terrible. There was no security on site apart from 2 dogs that were extremely intimidating.

Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by its spaciousness and comfort. The airy atmosphere and tasteful decor provided the perfect sanctuary after a day of adventure. From the plush bedding to the modern amenities, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure a truly relaxing stay. However, what truly sets G Villa apart is the warmth and hospitality of its hosts, Liza and Marites. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with genuine smiles and open arms, making me feel like a valued member of their extended family. Throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and well taken care of, always ready to assist with any request or inquiry. Not only were Liza and Marites incredibly accommodating, but they also generously shared their wealth of local knowledge, offering invaluable tips and recommendations to enhance my Siargao experience. Whether it was arranging transportation or suggesting hidden gems off the beaten path, their insights were invaluable and greatly enriched my stay. Furthermore, their hospitality extended beyond the realm of traditional hosting, as they often went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

There is nothing that I didn't like, but would have been nicer if there were a few more food options nearby though I understand not enough foot traffic to keep them busy at the back street
