We recently stayed at Lind End Guest Farm, and while the view truly is breathtaking — unfortunately, that's where most of the positives end.

The accommodation itself is tired and in definite need of some TLC. Inside, the place felt a bit neglected: mismatching cutlery, a broken kettle, and a general sense of wear and tear. Outside wasn’t much better — the outdoor furniture looked so worn and unstable that we didn’t even dare sit on it. Communication with the host was disappointing. Despite texting a few times during our stay, we received no response whatsoever. That said, the view really is something special. Waking up to that scenery almost made us forget the downsides — almost. If the place gets a refresh and the host becomes a bit more responsive, it could be a real gem.

The views were beautiful and the setting and tropical vegetation lovely.

The dirt road to get there was very badly potholed and wore on the nerves. One the second day my wife messaged the host to ask if there was a potjie and if the rubbish could be cleared. No response. Toilet seat detached. Pool was very green.

A very quiet place with a good view of mountains and nice plantation.
