"Spacious home with stunning views and quiet position ideal for exploring Sorrento region + islands"

9.0

Beautiful, quiet area between the Vico Equense village center and the harbor area. Harbor/sea view from the generous terrace, nice for breakfast or dinner outside. Responsive and helpful host. A great place to stay away from the crowds of Amalfi, Positano and Capri yet with access to all of these areas.

Upstairs bathroom needs a refresh. Would be a nice touch to have an outdoor grill. A few of the kitchen tools were worn/older. Some level of energy/fitness required to climb the hill to the village center or to/from the harbor (i.e., could be a challenge with wheelchair access or older guests). Overall no material complaints.

"Fantastic place. Already discussing going back next year."

10.0

Lovely place, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen, toiletries, and cleaning (incl. laundry) supplies included. Gorgeous view - watched the sunset every night! The open layout is great, and keeping an eye on a very active 10-month-old was simple. The AC was bliss, especially in the bedrooms. The beds were comfy and the showers had fantastically hot water. The family-sized shower on the lower floor was really handy as there is no bathtub. We did purchase a small inflatable pool (5 euros) to wash the baby. Claudio and Flora are very helpful and made every arrangement to make it easier for families with small children (highchair and extra beds in the room). They also answered every text promptly and easily resolved the only problem we encountered quickly. Claudio was professional in going over the terms of the rental and explained how to use the appliances, trash/bin collection, etc. He was The villa is located in Vico Equense, a small, non-touristy town about 15 minutes away from Sorrento by train. (But the train station is about 15 minutes away by foot.) The town is very hilly and the driveway is steep and took me about 5-7 minutes to mount it. So that is something to take into account. There is a private path to the public beach, which is nice. There are also two playgrounds about 10 minutes away, one with a lovely gardens and picnic tables. One thing I particularly appreciated about the town itself is that it is not made for tourists, so I didn't hear many American or British accents during the two weeks we were there in August. Unlike Sorrento, which was basically American-central. However, this did mean that very few shopkeepers spoke English so I got to use my ad hoc hand-language skills. Quite fun and funny! Be aware that most shops close from about 2 pm to 5 pm; however the Conard grocery shop is open during that time. Most of the groceries are located downstairs, which isn't obvious.

Maybe having a baby/toddler bath available would be good as a lot of children are terrified of showers.

Incredible location overlooking the harbour. Villa is on a very quiet secluded road, perfect for napping babies! Views from the veranda are incredible. Claudio and Flora very helpful hosts and even picked us up from station with all our bags.

It was nice villa, with nice view. All was nice and clean and bed extra comfortable. Restorants and shop up village. Really nice stay!

Not really anything to add. Only maybe to heads up, the access with car from main road to villa is with sharp corners and narrow. Be just prepared.
