Noisy neighbours

This is a well designed, light and spacious villa with simple / tasteful furnishings and decor. Outside area gets plenty of sun and has a small cactus garden. The owner is friendly and helpful. The location is very good for Marina Rubicon, which is a pleasant pedestrianised area with great choice of bars / restaurants and cafes and atmospheric by the water at sunset. From here a paved and level walk takes you along the sea to the various bays and beaches of Playa Blanca - or in the other direction you can walk across interesting ‘lunar’ landscape to more remote beaches. The area is fulfilling for a relaxing holiday or you can explore a bit further afield. The Cesar Manrique houses (one north and one outside the capital ) are fantastic!

Outlook from main bedroom is of shopping area but a v small point compared with the many positives.

Ideal location close to Marina Rubicon Harbour, Restaurants, coffee shop and supermarket. Christina was a great host very friendly and approachable we asked if we could leave our bags as we had a 19.15 flight Christina said we could stay and use villa all day as next client was due the following day. Ideal property for couples or small family. Approx one mile from centre of Playa Blanca along a well paved coastal promenade.

The property is in a good location and had the facilities I would look for when booking my holiday accommodation, the owner Christina called to ask if things were okay. The property itself was clean and easy to access.

Very little, the TV had a poor reception but this did not impact the overall experience.

like others have stated, the location was fantastic for the Marina, and the beach (15 min walk) and a 20-25 min walk from the main strip where you can eat very reasonably, great portion sizes in nearly every restaurant we tried. pool was fine for a dunk, not suitable for a proper swim (use the sea lol) good sized rooms and bathroom, Christina is a fantastic host, I did speak to her a few times during our stay, her information pack was brilliant, this includes very detailed information on how to get to property from the airport. Christina also provided us with directions to a Gym for my sporting children that wanted to work out (19-16 yrs)

I’m being really critical here, but it is important to be truthful, some of this Christina will be aware of, and will hopefully be resolved before you book. The property really needs a net to clean the pool out. their is a tree at the property and leaves were constantly falling into the pool, the pool was rather dirty by the end of our trip, a net would be very useful to assist in helping to keep it clean during your stay. The patio doors really need looking at from a safety perspective, ie locking (not the tightest security wise) The property was cleaned once during our stay, I would have expected the floors to have been swept and washed, sadly this was not done, Christina you may need to check this with the cleaning company on expectations. I feel a good addition to support the property would be the installation of some air conditioning, very hot property at night., having a fan on all night was somewhat annoying but helpful, Some general smartening up of property would be beneficial as a little dated ie blinds, curtains.
