Atalaya Alta

We loved the property. Heated swimming pool was great, our two kids (4 and 7) loved it and the views are superb. The property caters for every need, all utensils and cleaning products are available and the hosts went over and above to ensure our stay was wonderful - thank you. An absolute masterclass on how to host 👏

It’s a little worn in places and needs a lick of paint, but the property is 119 years old and a listed building so it’s limited as to what can be done. Many steps to climb to access the villa, but that only means you gain from an elevated view so no issues for us, but would be a problem if you struggle to climb steps.

We had a great week in Costa del Sol. We traveled as a family + granny and there were easily enough space for everybody. Views to the sea and mountains were fantastic. Kids and adults loved the pool. We really enjoyed our stay in Atalaya Alta and I would recommended it to families.

We really enjoyed our stay in the villa. It has so many terraces, you can't even choose in which one to spend time :) The warm pool was amazing - kids spent whole day in it. After reading all the comments about how many steps there are, we were prepared for a daily workout.. pfff, it was nothing like that. Easy peasy :)

My husband is 190cm tall, so the master bed seemed a bit too short for him.

It had all we needed for our stay

The location was a bit out of the way, we had to have taxis everywhere. The amount of steps to the property need to be considered before booking as it was difficult taking luggage up and down.

Children spent hours in the heated pool. Large living spaces. Location in a quiet area. Shops, beach, restaurants short walk away. Bori is very friendly and on hand if there are any needs. We had a lovely Christmas here. All the essentials were supplied Inc a Christmas tree!

Bori was wonderful, she met us at nearly 1am when the flight was delayed and bought a bag of food for us to eat for breakfast. She also checked us out early on our leaving day. The views from this property are stunning, the pool is fantastic with toys provided for the kids. All cleaning items are provided and shampoo, shower gel, toilet rolls and hand wash. It's a comfy property and the steps didn't bother us at all. The BBQ area is lovely and we used it twice for cooking. They have full WiFi and even provide mosquito killers in all rooms.

The sofa bed in the tower maybe needs a mattress topper as it's not as comfy as the other beds.
