Villa Lidia

The location of the villa directly at the coast was absolutely great. One could hear the waves breaking at all times, awesome. The walking path in front of the villa meant that it was easy to take daily walks for many kilometers all the way along the coast.

The jalousies in the shutters were mostly difficult to open so that the rooms were dark unless the shutters were completely opened.

Location, peace and quiet

Kitchen might have been a bit better equipped for self catering in the winter.

Beautiful, large villa with a fantastic sea view. Spotless clean. Very nice little pool. Good communication.

On our arrival the sofa was covered with sheets and then we realised it was to cover the poor quality. When we approached the agent he told us that a new one would have been delivered a couple of days later which they did. Outside deck chairs are quite old and uncomfortable. Although clean, towels were poor quality.

The location of the villa was perfect and the view over the garden to the sea was spectacular. Watching the sunset in the evening was stunning, accompanied by the sounds of the surf crashing onto the rocks. Shops and a good selection of restaurants (some good quality) are within walking distance, as is the bus stop into Playa Blanca (20 minutes bus journey every half hour). We were a little apprehensive having read existing reviews but the villa was lovely and we would stay again. I feel that perhaps some of the issues had been addressed, there was certainly a new air conditioning unit in the bedroom. We did not feel that it was run down, perhaps more showing it's age a little, with some peeling paint in the pool area, but any coastal property will suffer in this way. It also had one of the best equipped kitchens we have had in self catering stays, the only thing lacking was plastic tumblers to use around the pool....we bought disposables very cheaply in the local supermarket....problem solved. The villa is in a very quiet residential area and is very peaceful with a lovely pool area. We had a lovely restful holiday and would happily return.

The sofa in the living room wasn't the most comfortable, similarly the outdoor dining set, but they are minor points.

The location is beautiful and amazing views. In a quiet peaceful area close to amenities and great bars and restaurants.

The Villa is very run down and needs work. Reviews from 2 years ago were saying windows did not close and settee falling to pieces and this is still the case. Smoke alarms were in drawers and this left us feeling unsafe. The pool was not cleaned in the two weeks of us staying and was very dirty after a few days. We had one towel change. Issues with electricity has to be resolved by ourselves and the handy man told us the old air conditioning unit was the cause and needed replacing as unsafe. Issues have not been resolved in our return and we feel very disappointed by our experience. A VV sign legally supposed to be displayed to rent a property was not there and unsure if we were actually allowed to rent the villa. Seeking advice currently. Unable to share more photos but have many showing the issues.

Beautiful sunset location. Excellent pool and spacious interior Rental agency was quick to respond to issues.

Doesn’t appear that much of the rental income make its way back into basic maintenance of the property. I could write you a repair list as long as your arm from painting, lights, rusted table tennis table decrepit sofa, sparse Patio furniture all make it feel very run down ; but the main issue for us was windows and doors not able to lock properly. Staying somewhere this remote, it can be a tad spooky at night but knowing that somebody could climb in the kitchen window is not what you should have to think about on holiday. It probably makes €60k+ a year in rental income so it’s about time to get all the locks repaired. Reviews a year ago said similar.
