Touchdown Villa

Great, friendly and responsive host, clean and spacious house, quiet environment and friendly neighbors, interesting view on the airstrip

The villa is on a hill, with a rather steep climb, it may be challenging for some to get there on foot from sea-level road, so it is advised to use car for that:)

We stayed here for one night. - As the name suggests, it's a very big villa. Very huge property. - The owner was very friendly and she will offer a taxi service from the ferry (with good rates compared to what you see online). - We came 2 hrs earlier, although we were not able to check in, we were allowed to keep our luggage inside. We paid through credit card. After check-out, we kept our luggage outside of villa as our flight was in the night 10PM. (It was safe to keep luggage outside). - The property is huge, so you have multiple spots to chill and relax. In the outside, there was balcony on ground floor and 1st floor, also seating space in the backside of the villa. - The kitchen is huge, so is the living room (Kitchen could have been more clean, but not major issue). There are 2 washrooms, 1 in ground floor and another in the 1st floor. - A big thanks to the owner as they have a continuous running water filter, so you can have lot of drinking water availability. Kitchen was very well equipped. ( Although it was tricky to use the gas stove ( we couldn't use), be sure to check with owner how to operate during check in, Thankfully, we didn't need it, as we used the electric pot rice cooker to heat some things up). - It is close by to the airport which is a major positive. Location (read carefully) : - Close to the bus stand. (We used public bus during our stay). Also, it is close to a super market. During check-out, we even walked back to the airport from the property. - The property is very, VERY steep ! I am a hiker and a fit person, I could walk from the bus stand to the property, and the walk in itself was a good hike ;) - If you are not fit, you cannot walk from bus stand to the property. Don't take this lightly. - DO NOT THINK, you can carry/push trolley to the property from the bus stand. IMPOSSIBLE. You need a car to come to property with luggage !

- The AC swing thingy was broken in room. Although, the air was coming, the broken bar was blocking majority of the air. But not a major problem as after some time, the room gets cool. Also because of the broken swing thingy, there was some noise from AC. - Lots and lots of lizards. So, if you are not used to seeing lizards, be aware of it ! We were ok with it.

Absolutely nothing. Do not book here.

After making the booking 6 months prior to arrival, the booking was cancelled by the property due to ‘double booking’ 10 hours before our arrival. The host blamed booking.com and booking.com blamed the host. In any case, we were boarding our flight at the time and this stress was completely unnecessary and preventable. Do not book this property under any circumstances.

We really appreciated the free transfer to the airport by the host very early in the morning.

We were met on arrival at the airport on time despite our flight being delayed.

Location and space

Blankets and bedsheets were not enough. Reaching the villa can be very tricky if no transport arrangements

Very big and beautiful house，with sea view and everything we need. It's near the airport，we could see the planes on the runway. Nearby there is a shop and take-away restaurant.

We didn't have much time to explore it.
