Residence on Sea View

The space

There was no access to the beach from the house. The downstairs bathroom shower had no hot water. The kitchen is not well equipped needs a lot of utensils and bigger pots and pans. The kettle is constantly full of ants as the net on inside is broken. There is only a two slice toaster and this house sleeps ten people. Could do with a tumble drying. A lot of the windows in the main bedroom leak when it rains. There is no shade on the outdoor patio where you spend most of your time. The location is not great, there is nothing nearby and you have to travel a 20 min drive to anything. The house has no walls or fences on the side so anyone from the street can enter the premises and this is where the only wash line is. The house is in need of A LOT of tlc. The indoor pool was half empty. The dstv doesn’t work and the wifi off most of the time. The foto’s doesn’t correspond with the condition of the house. None of the “jet baths” work. The staff looking after the house is hard to communicate. We were six people and there is only one remote and set of keys for the house.

The sea views are great. Overall the place was clean.

The property could be better if there were more bathrooms. The TV room positioning can also be better by the open plan lounge. No backup at the facilities (consider solar or generator for load shedding). Consider having a bigger braai stand for guests. The issue of a single key (garage and gate) is also not ideal when you have guests with 2 cars travelling at different times - consider giving 2 remote access. At the kitchen, please consider having more utensils, the knife was not good.

The way the host treated us, we arrived late and had to stand outside for about 30min, trying to get a hold of the host for them to open for us then we went around the house and figured out that the were two small rooms and knocked the helper then came out and opened for us. Jacuzzi was also cold

Beautiful house, so tidy& clean

We did not have electricity from 10am Saturday until 22h00 & we were afraid when we ask the host to check the problem she said we must go & buy the candles, we asked if she's planning to rob us or anything she said we are free to go & contact Booking.com she was so rude so the ladies were angry they endup swearing and shouting her, because she lied saying there's no light in the area but the neighbors had electricity even the street lights were on.

The house is completely run down, you realize immediately that the house js just rented out to generate profit as it is not maintained at all: - outdoor pool was dirty, we didn’t dear to swim in there. - outdoor jacuzzi did’t work and the water was muddy - steam bath was disgusting and smelled musty, so didn’t use it either - indoor jacuzzi didn’t work - some kitchen machines didn’t work -… The highlight was that we were told that some people would come to check the house (which is regularly done)… however, we realized that the owner is selling the house and that folks interested in the house were invited to look at it while we rented the place. The cleaners put all our luggages and belongings into cub boards without asking us! That’s an absolut no-go! The owner has no respect and we were quite upset. The good things however was that we found out that there was an indoor-pool as well - which we did’t use though because of the musty smell.
