Hummingbirds Cabins

The pool area was well equipped and a great place to meet your neighbours. The property is away from the businesses which makes it quiet at night. The bikes were great to have for our stay.

The slightly scarry stairs / railing up to the suite were a bit of a hazard but once we knew this we knew to navigate carefully.

It’s a little further back from the main spots but that was perfect for us. It was quiet at night and we had bikes to get everywhere we needed. The staff are so nice and responsive. Would definitely book a stay here again!

Had just a wonderful time!

Everything was perfect! Vert nice & clean, comfy beds, well placed, all equipment in the kitchen, nice persons that rent this small cuty hotel. Nice pool too.

Just to say that the bathroom was little bit too small in our pool house but this is not important

We had a great stay at Hummingbird! We stayed in the Pink Cabin, which consists of one larger cabin with one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room and a kitchen and then another smaller cabin with a bedroom and bathroom (and a refrigerator!). The beds and pillows were really very comfortable! There is a room next to the smaller cabin with some chairs and a hammock. The walls of this room are mosquito screens; ideal to enjoy the hammock without mosquitoes getting in. We loved the pool as well. There is enough seating and there were inflatable tubes to use which was great. The pool is very clean and there is enough shade. There is free drinking water in the kitchen. Wifi worked perfectly both in the larger and the smaller cabin. Airconditioning worked everywhere as well. There were bikes we could use; we didn’t use them but they looked sturdy and seemed to work. Heydi was responsive on Whatsapp and checked in with us halfway during our stay to make sure we were fine.

Even though we had a great stay, I feel like there were some small things that easily could be done better to enhance the experience even more. When we arrived with the water taxi, a golf cart came to pick us up, the driver had a sign with my name on it. When at the accommodation we were told to pay 10 BZ$. I would have expected this to be included in the (high) price we paid, especially since we didn’t agree on being picked up and someone just stood there with my name on a sign. Some other small things; when opening one of the drawers to put my stuff in there, I found a half eaten peanut. On the couch an old cut off nail from someone else dug into my leg. For the price we paid it could be a bit cleaner. In the smaller cabin I was missing hooks in the bathroom to put my towel. All the shampoo mini’s and the extra towels were in the other cabin, which was not a big problem but would have been nice if the smaller cabin was outfitted the same way as the larger one.

The appartements are really nice, with a nice bed, a private kitchen, hot water. It is a bit far from town, but the bicycle are a nice touch. The two men that are taking care of the commun area were really nice.

We found it very expensive for what it was, especially when you add the cleaning fee and the taxes. For that price, it would be normal to have a room cleaning every day included. We couldn’t use the swimming pool because of the huge amount of mosquitos. There is no table in the appartement, which is really a shame. The welcoming was very quick and not very helpful regarding our questions. We had to pay for the “taxi” from the ferry to the hotel, which we feel could also easily be offered, as it is quiet expensive already.
